Surely each of you knows the situation when you figured out in the middle of the summer season that you want to go on holiday to a campsite, cottage, or guest house. Unfortunately, your demand for accommodation encountered a lot of problems such as, the late reaction of the operator, or a fully occupied campsite. In this article, we will try to advise and help you how to book and plan a holiday properly.

 

Last minute accommodation

Perhaps the most common problem we are encountering here is that guests in the middle of the summer season decide where they want to go. The demand for accommodation is written on Monday, saying they would like to stay on Wednesday. The most frequented campsites, or cottages or guesthouses, are mostly occupied by the main season and can not accommodate guests' requirements.

  • Our recommendation: Here, we recommend simply planning a holiday earlier if your conditions allow. The most ideal planning period is March to May. Alternatively, you can check the "Discounts & Last minute".

 

Reservation for three days in the middle of summer

Another issue related to this is the reservation in the middle of the summer on 2 to 4 days. Most larger or better establishments prefer summer accommodation over the summer (weekly turnus). So you may easily find that accommodation for you simply will not be available for just 2 to 4 days.

  • Our recommendation: Try to plan your holiday for a week. From our own experience we know that accommodation for a few days is "nothing" because one day you are staying, the next day you are wondering .. then you sleep again and you go home .. :-). Holiday for the week is certainly more enjoyable

Guest indebtedness

We also encounter guests responding for up to a few days or a week and advising that they want to book. Unfortunately, over the summer, free accommodation capacity is also changing from hour to hour. So, while you decide whether to stay or not, for a few days, you will overtake the more prominent guests ..

  • Our recommendation: Here's a simple advice. Carefully read important information such as how the camp (or other accommodation) looks, where exactly what you are doing (activities) and how much it costs. This way you will have all the information you need to decide if you want to spend your holiday here or not. Alternatively, check out other guests' reviews -  Reviews
     

 

Slow response from operators

On the other hand, we have noticed the slow response of operators to the demand and reservations made by you. This situation is repeated again mainly during the summer season. It should be remembered that such an operator has over the summer full-time work with the operation and guests who are accommodated. Email communication unfortunately goes to the second track and so the expected response to your email in the clock is a bit unrealistic

  • Our recommendation: We recommend either to call or plan a holiday before the operator also has enough time to arrange reservations and other conditions.

Accommodation at slepo

One of the other problems is that tourists with their own caravan or tent are supposed to have the possibility of accommodation somehow automatically. This is often the case, but many camps and caravans have limited capacity. Then there may be a situation where you will arrive with a caravan, or you will come to the campsite and there is no place for you. The same thing happens to families with children who want to stay in a cottage or in a bungalow.

  • Our recommendation: Whether you want to stay with a caravan, a tent or a cabin, we recommend that you make a precautionary call or write in advance if it is off. This will avoid unnecessary complications on your travels or your holiday

 

Leaving incorrect contact

We were unexpectedly found in the most common mistakes of the wrong form filling in the contact form. In such cases, we have recorded several dozens this year when the guest requested accommodation, but did not fill in the phone number box and in addition left a wrong email address. Email arrived at the campsite or other accommodation, but unfortunately the operator did not have a chance to respond.

  • Our recommendation: Please fill in the contact information carefully and if you have a serious interest in accommodation, leave a contact

 

These were the most common problems with accommodation and holiday planning for you. However, the situation is repeated every year.
