Due to its location, the holiday cottage provides many opportunities for relaxation and rest in the near and wider area. It is located in an attractive part of Horná Nitra, about 13 km from the famous spa town of Bojnice, where you can visit the beautiful Bojnice Castle, ZOO, thermal swimming pool "Čajka", as well as the spa itself and use a wide range of healing procedures. The conditions in the surrounding forests and mountains are excellent for hiking. The Rudnian basin, which is adjacent to the Hornonitrianská basin, is surrounded by the Strážovské vrchy (Rokoš 1010 m) with a part of Mala Magura (Magura 1141 m) with the dominant Temešská rock (910 m). The dam itself is located at an altitude of about 300 m above sea level. There are also the Vtáčnik (Vtáčnik 1346 m) and Malá Fatra mountains, where the Kľak rock massif (1351 m) rises.
Fishing:
Fishing is possible directly in front of the cottage. A large number of diverse fish species live in the 96-hectare dam. These are mainly carp, pike, perch, perch and flatfish. Trout and grayling live in the nearby trout stream Belianke, which flows into the dam and flows out of it like Nitrica.
Sports:
Of the water sports, it is mainly swimming, boating, surfing and sailing (a boat can be rented directly from us).
Other sports and relaxation activities that can be performed in the vicinity are: swimming, pedal boats, water slides, cycling, hunting, paragliding, skydiving, sightseeing flights. In Prievidza there is also a squash, bowling, minigolf, golf and painball club.
In winter, skiing: Homôlka, Čičmany, Rudnianska Lehota, Kanianka, Poruba, Cígeľ, Lehota pod Vtáčnikom, Veľká Lehôtka, Remata and Kľak. Skating directly on the dam, or in Prievidza on the square and indoor stadium.
