Wandering around castles and chateaux - Cycle route no.1 - Length of the route: 53 km
Vranov nD - Nový Petřín - Šatov - Podhradí nD - Uherčice - Korolupy - Svobodův mlýn - Zblovice - Bítov - Lančov - Vranov nD
From Vranov nD we set off along the cycling route No. 48 towards Podhradí nD, we turn left and climb up a steep hill around the chateau around the petrol station. At the crossroads we continue straight to Šafov. From here we go through Starý Petřín to Podhradí nD (possibility of swimming) with the ruins of the castle Frejštejn. Follow the road against the flow of the Dyje, later a steep climb around the Mitrov yard to Uherčice. From Uherčice we continue in the direction of Lubnice, but at the first crossroads we turn right to Korolupy and through Oslnovice and Vysočany towards Dešov. We descend from the end to the Želetavka valley to Svobodov mill and soon turn right to Zblovice and at the crossroads we turn right to the Bítov castle. In the same way we return to the crossroads, pass Bítov and descend to the Vranov dam. After the bridge, we turn left at an acute angle and climb to the ruins of the Cornštejn castle. From there, continue along the forest asphalt road to Lančov, where we turn left and continue to Vranov. The second, Austrian variant of the route (a total of 64 km) is from Uherčice to Vratěnín via the border crossing Unterthűrnau to Drossendorf, via Langau to Riegersburg, then via Felling, Hardegg, Čížov to Vranov nD

https://www.kempy-chaty.cz/sites/default/files/turistika/fotocyklopopice.jpgBicycle path Vranov nad Dyjí - Čížov
The connection of Vranov with Čížov (via Zadní Hamry and Větrník hill) allows Vranov holiday vacationers in particular to get to the heart of the national park by bike as quickly as possible without risking an unpleasant journey through the Vranov serpentines with relatively heavy car traffic. The second current connection between Vranov and Čížov, ie. across the Vranovská dam, the Swiss valley to Lesná and across the Větrník hill is still longer and can be used, for example, for the return journey.
In addition to the familiar tourist signs, in the Podyjí National Park, the Czech Tourists' Club has painted bicycle route signs, which, unlike the signs for hikers, have the outer stripes not white but yellow-brown, and are much larger. On some wide and busy roads (eg Čížov - Hardegg, Lukov - Nový Hrádek or the road through the Šobes vineyard) there is a concurrence of hiking and biking trails, but mostly pedestrian and bicycle traffic is separated. On pedestrian paths, where bicycle traffic is clearly undesirable (1st and 2nd zones of the national park) there is also a reduced prohibition sign on the entry of bicycles.

Bike path around Vranov dam
Length: 42,1 km
Difficulty: moderate
Wheels: cross bike, MTB
This moderately demanding route will take us to Cornštejn Castle around the entire Vranov dam. Capable cyclists who like cultural monuments can turn off the route to tour Bítov Castle.

Cycle route Vranov nad Dyjí - Hardegg
Difficulty of the route: extra cant
Three route options:
1. along the cycle path No. 48 through the dam of the Vranovská dam and through Lesná
2. along the main road through Lesná and Horní Břečkov (very dense road traffic)
3. along the cycle route No. 5122 through Zadní Hamry (the steepest ascent in the area of Ledový slují). Otherwise, this road is one of the most beautiful and shortest - 14 km - around the river Dyje about 2 km (nowhere else is this option in the national park).
Vranov - Hardegg is a trip for the whole day.
We recommend visiting the Hardegg lookout point before the border crossing / for pedestrians and cyclists /, the Nový Hrádek ruins and the building of the Podyjí National Park in Čížov with expositions and information about the national park.
