INFORMATION ABOUT THE JANSKÁ SPA
Janske Lazne is a mountain town, recreational center and the only significant spa on the Czech side of the Giant Mountains. Healing springs have been discovered in the 14 century. The founder of the spa was 17 century owner John and Schwarzenberg. The significant development of the spa occurred in the 19 century and in the early 20 century. The area is about 30 healing springs and many spa facilities. The Art Nouveau spa colonnade from the end of the 19 century and the pseudo-Gothic church of Sv. John the Baptist of 1885.
