Cycling trails of the Karlovy Vary Region
A region with an increasing number of cycling trails and lots of natural attractions.
While the first cycle trail is still being prepared in Aska, the cycle routes have already started to be built in Cheb. The Cheb Town Hall has a slightly different approach to cycling than Ash. Apart from cycling routes, they also focus on building bicycle trails, not only in Cheb but also outside the city. Cross-border cycling trails have already been opened at Starý Hroznatov, Slapan and Pomezí.
There is a completion of the cycle path along the former slap track, which will then lead the backbone cycling route No.6 along the Ohře River. Part of the track has been successfully serving the tourist public since 2006 as a cycle path. There are also some very interesting biking trails in Cheb and another one will be added this year. So up to the bikes, beautiful weather and lots of experiences on the Cheb cycling routes.
Nature Reserve SOOS
Attention is certainly worth the sights of folk architecture. The most valuable of these are in the villages of Doubrava near Lipová and Nový Drahov, which were celebrated in 1995 by village heritage preserves of folk architecture. City heritage sites are in Cheb - the center of the city with a collection of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance houses and Františkovy Lázně, whose center forms a unique architectural ensemble. The spa town of Mariánské Lázně was declared an urban conservation area.
