In winter, you can go skiing right from the cottage to the ski slope Ski resort Kozákov.
Kozákov
Kozákov is the magical mountain of Bohemian Paradise rising up to 744 meters above sea level. It is a paradise for semi-haired seekers.
Mount Kozakov
Kozákov is a popular cruise destination. It forms the southeast end of the Ještědsko-kozákovský ridge at the altitude 744 m, also called the "Guard Mountain" of Bohemian Paradise. At the very top, the Riegrova hut is built in 1928 and renovated in 2003. New interior of the restaurant and 7 rooms with sanitary facilities In close proximity is a six-armed military tower with a platform which serves as a lookout tower run by KČT Semily, which is also the owner of the cottage. Kozákov is also the destination of several hiking trails from virtually all major places in the region. Above the hill there is a hiking trail from Frýdštejn to Tábor, but also the Klokočské rocks and the valley of the river Jizera. There are ten marked hiking trails, including the Golden Path of the Bohemian Paradise, which is why it is a favorite place for hiking, marching and hiking. The most famous is the New Year's Eve, which is attended every year by 1000-1500 people. At Kozákov there are excellent conditions for paragliding, a place for the radio, for fans of mountain bikes. If there are favorable snow conditions on the northern slope of Kozákov, the ski lift is long in the 450 m, whose exit station is located a short distance from the cottage. The surrounding area also offers good conditions for skiing. This corner is abundantly frequented by collectors of precious stones. On Kozákov there is a road from two sides, only one in the direction from Bačkov is in the winter. From the top of Kozákov and today from the lookout tower there is a beautiful view of Giant Mountains, Jizerské Mountains, Lusatian Mountains, České středohoří, Bohemian Paradise and Orlické hory.
