Bedřichov in the Jizera Mountains

Bedřichov is one of the most famous sport and relaxation centers not only of the Jizera Mountains and the Liberec Region but also of the whole Czech Republic. The biggest attraction is the Jizerská magistrála, network of cross-country ski trails every year (about 130 km), in summer with possibility of use for cycling. Downhill skiers can enjoy slopes in two ski resorts in the Bedřichov area - directly in the village of Malinovka or the Severák skiing area above Hrabětice.

Jizerská magistrála

In the winter and summer months, the Jizerská magistrála is one of the most popular routes in the whole Czech Republic. While in winter there are cross-country skiers, in the summer 130 km of modified tours serve hikers and cyclists. The most beautiful trails include Kristiánov, Bedřichov, Nové Louky and Jizerky. Paths make viewing tower views more pleasant, with views of the Jizera Mountains. The most beautiful is nature itself. Routes are led by forest paths, around waterfalls, streams and unique peat bogs. The tracks are regularly maintained and marked.

Ski slopes

Downhill skiers will definitely appreciate two ski resorts in the area of ​​Bedřichov - directly in the village of Malinovka, only 4 km from there another ski resort Severák above the village of Hrabětice. In Bedřichov, skiers (cross-country skiers and skiers) have available standard service including rental and ski instructors.

Bobsled

In Janov nad Nisou (the village in front of Bedřichov in the direction of Jablonec nad Nisou), it is a great attraction and an exciting experience for visitors of all ages. Trolleys are designed for one to two people. Comfortable beads with rubber wheels feature an effective brake that allows everyone to choose the optimal speed and driving style. They are very easy to use, so small children can handle them. Bobsleigh track in Janov nad Nisou contains a total of 22 turns. The rarity of the track is a carousel in which the bob turns by 450 degrees. The total length of the runway is 900 and the tow is measured by 270 m. A part of the bobsleigh track is a restaurant with a capacity of 48 seats inside and other 80 seats on a large terrace with barbecue and smokehouse.

Cross path on high ridge

In the woods above Bedřichov, Josef Klamt built a crossroad in 1878. According to the then parson, the water used from the source of the local creek was healing, so Klamt had built a well at this spring. Since 1903, the Way of the Cross has become a frequent place for believers and tourists. In the vicinity was built Hašler's cottage, which served as a lookout tower. In 1996 on the original cross-road, twelve stops and altar painting on sheet metal were installed in one of the stone blocks.
