Chata Na Špici - accommodation Benecko

The chalet on Špice offers cheap accommodation, located in the village of Benecko, it is the highest situated village in the western Giant Mountains, which is suitable for summer and winter recreation. Cottage at Špice is ideal for skiers, right next to the ski slope Nový Cinkáč, in the middle of nature and is a perfect place for family holidays, ski school training or school in nature. The cottage is an ideal place for family recreation, stays with children, ski lessons, schools in nature, sporting events, corporate events, training. Restaurant, lounge, terrace, playground, mini zoo, wellness, sauna, swimming pool. The cottage offers 6 × double, 8 × four-bed and 1 × apartment for 6 persons / two bedrooms /. The total capacity will be 50 beds.

 

Guests have TV, satellite and WiFi, plus a wellness club - sauna, whirlpool and swimming pool. Rooms have their own bathroom. Directly inside the cottage there is a restaurant serving both breakfast and dinner for half-board, which can be ordered with your stay.

Ski, bicycles, baby strollers and other things can be stored in a special lockable room.

 

Accommodation in a cottage

Our Chatu na Špice na Benecku in the Krkonoše Mountains surrounds its own children's ZOO playground, a swing with a swing, a slide and a sandpit for children. In the summer months, there is also a seating area on the terrace or grill in the garden. And in the nearby surroundings you can visit the lookout tower Žalý, Štěpanický castle, walk along the Camel Trail or around the Ponds in Martinique. Accommodation is suitable for families, couples and tourists. Benecko in the Giant Mountains is already part of the Giant Mountains National Park.

We rent cottages for the whole year, our accommodation capacity is 50 beds. The cottage offers 6 × double, 8 × four-bed and 1 × apartment for 6 persons / two bedrooms /.

The total capacity will be 50 beds. All rooms for accommodation with children are cosily newly renovated and have their own sanitary facilities. Guests have a TV, satellite and a wifi. The whole house is non-smoking and we prefer to change. There is no kitchen or refrigerator in the rooms.

 

Bikes, a baby stroller and other things can be stored in a special lockable room. Upon prior agreement and at extra costs, a dog can also take with you.

If you come to us in winter, we are in the Giant Mountains - the highest mountains of the Czech Republic, so you can get snow chains. 

Part of the Benecko accommodation in Špice cottage is a common dining room with a children's corner.

Accommodation for schools 

Benecko is the most popular location for accommodation of schools on ski courses, outdoor schools or trips. Chata na Špici offers accommodation for schools in newly renovated rooms. The beauties of the Krkonoše Mountains will be appreciated by kindergarten, primary and secondary school pupils at any time of the year. 

Positioning the cottage in a quiet and safe place, away from the main road, provides the ideal accommodation for school groups. In both spring and autumn, the guest house is well accessible by bus. To the center of Benecka is 10 minutes away. The chalet on Špice is perfectly situated, right next to the ski slope Nový Cinkáč, in the middle of nature. It is therefore a wonderful place for ski school trainers and schools in nature.

Zoo Playground

For our youngest visitors we have built a children's ZOO playground with many attractions and friendly animals. The playground is situated on the 1000 m area2 and its diversity will satisfy children of all ages. The most popular are our mini tits and mini pigs. Your children can spend time playing not only on various climbing frames, but also feeding animals treats from our slot machine. Admission to the ZOO playground is FREE for guests.

Benecko Ski Resort and the Havrland Children's Park

In Benecko, in the ski resort, you can go down on 10 ski lifts ("string", POMA, anchor, seat) in lengths of 120-800 meters, in difficulty from "patch" to black. The newest four-seater cable car is 750 meters long. There are many ski and ski equipment rentals around the ski area. The Havrland Children's Ski Park is ideal for small children.

 

Tobogganing, snowtubing, cross-country skiing

You can also reduce the time here by snow tubing or sledding. From Benecko, several kilometers of cross-country trails lead in different directions, leading to Hormí Mísečky to Špindlerův Mlýn and back to Benecko.

 

Lookout Žalý

It is approximately 6 kilometers from Benecko to the Žalý lookout tower. At the top is a newly built mountain hut, which originally stood on the site since 1890. It is an ideal trip for less able tourists or mothers with prams, they can visit Žalý (1019 m), in the Czech Republic, the oldest stone lookout tower, which is 18 meters high.

 

Camel road around Žalý

The camel road leads around the Žalý hill and is approximately 9 kilometers long. It is said that in 1680 a camel actually went along this path with the bishop of Hradec Králové.

 

Lufťák's Way

The Lufthak's trail is about one and a half miles long, and there are a variety of puzzles available for the kids from puzzles to tasks where they check their physical condition.

 

St Stephen's Church and castle ruins 

Horní Štěpanice is interesting for its well-preserved folk architecture with timbered cottages made of necks (masonry is made up of short spheres, not typical long beams) and the parish church of the Holy Trinity and the castle, which was built around the 13th century by Jan of Valdštějn. It is about 8 kilometers on foot from Benecko, but you can get closer to Štěpanice by car and walk about a kilometer.

 

Horse Riding School Janova hora and Kněžice

In Kněžice you can take a horse ride at any time of the year, daily from 10 to 16 hours, after agreement can be done outside the specified time. You can go to the nearest Kněžice area and to the National Park of Krkonoše, for the smaller children there are also ponies. Near Benecka is the second farm Hucul on the mountain of Jan, where is also a riding hall.

 

Curious Lane, Museum and Jilemnice Chateau Park

You can find a ski exhibition in the museum, which is in the chateau building. It is located in the Castle Park and in the vicinity of which you will find the former brewery building and the church of St. Lawrence. Near the center is the Curious Alley. It is called this because every other house built was moved a little further forward so that all the inhabitants of the street had the same view. The alley is located about 200 meters from the square.

 

Swimming pool and sauna Jilemnice

In case of bad weather, you can visit the swimming pool with a 25 meter length and an adjacent children's pool or sauna and salt cave.

 

Martinic ponds and nature trail around

In Martinique is the educational trail U Mlejna, it is possible to go on foot and ride it by bike. Ideal for trips in hot summer days, because you can possibly swim in some of the surrounding ponds.

 

Museum, Vrchlabí Chateau Park

The Giant Mountains Museum in Vrchlabí is ideal for a trip, if it is rainy weather, you will learn a lot about the origin of the Giant Mountains and their geological composition. The chateau park is famous for the lake with ducks. More information about Vrchlabí can be found on the tourist portal.

 

Bozkov dolomite cave, Lookout tower

Bozkov dolomite caves are the only accessible caves in the north of Bohemia. The rich decoration is one of the most beautiful caves in the Czech Republic. There is the largest underground lake in Bohemia. For their uniqueness, these caves were declared a National Natural Monument.

 

Harrachov Mumlava waterfalls, beer spa, glassworks

Mumlavské waterfalls are 12 meters high around in the granite base, you can see the eroded eyes with a diameter of 6 meters, the path to them is about a kilometer and a half from Harrachov. There is a glassworks, a Novosad mini-brewery and a son and a beer spa, you can really bathe in beer here. Warm mountain water and 10 liters of beer await you in the prepared bath.

 

Spindleruv Mlyn Dam 

The water reservoir with an area of ​​40 ha is one kilometer long and lies on the upper course of the Elbe at the southern edge of Špindlerův Mlýn. The Elbe Dam captures most of the snow water in the central part of the Giant Mountains, it was built in 1910–1914. A 120 m long road bridge has been standing here since the XNUMXs.

 

Zoo and safari Dvůr Králové

Zoo Dvůr Králové has two different seasons. From October to April, it resembles other gardens and is accessible to pedestrians, presenting animals in tropical pavilions and year-round ravines on 20 hectares. At the time of the summer season, 60 ha offers real African SAFARI, which visitors walk through their own cars and buses and the 10 hikes and the large classic zoo.

 

The rock town of Adrspach or rocks in the Bohemian Paradise

Adrspach-Teplice sandstone rocks are the largest and wildest rock town of Central Europe, the most amazing is the view of the rock lake. The Bohemian Paradise also offers stunning rocks and views.
