Natural park Sovinecko

Sovinecko Nature Park is located in the southwestern part Rešovské Highlands. Visitors can mesmerize its deep valleys and dramatic slopes that cover the forests with preserved structure and species composition, near-natural stands. In villages around the country since the settlement significantly deforested, especially in the shallow valley of the upper part of the stream. Dense forests can grow on steep slopes zaříznutých valley. To date, the Natural Park encounter with traces of mining iron ore, silver, gold and other minerals. Very special and interesting is the unusual occurrence of karst formations around Sovince.
Park is the fault of the river Oskava and Teplice, but also Huntava and Sitka on the inaccessible slopes and rocky cliffs rising firs and elms. The slopes of the valley Oskavy are small natural treasures, which are preserved complexes of acidic beech forests. In the park nestles on 129 species of birds, among which reigns now rare eagle owl.

You can also take a look at the National Natural Monument of Rešov Waterfalls, which forms the gorge of Huntava River. Waterfalls have been protected since 1966.
