Kašperské Hory is a popular center of winter and summer recreation. They were established in the 13th century as a mining settlement. In the 14th century, they belonged with the surroundings to the most important medieval gold-ore districts in Bohemia. To this day, traces of surface mining, the remains of galleries, shafts and piles of tailings testify to this.
Svatobor: is a wooded hill above Sušice, 845 m above sea level. A lookout tower has stood on the top since 1890. In 1934, the old lookout tower was demolished and a new cottage with a lookout tower was built. The lookout tower is 26 meters high, we can get here by following the red tourist sign after about an hour's walk from Sušice Square. From the tower there is a view of Rabí Castle, Prácheň, on the horizon Středočeská vrchovina, Sedlo, Kašperk Castle, Ždánov and Javorník, Sokol, Pancíř and Můstek ridge, Jezerní stěna and Velký Javor.

Zadov is the most important winter mountain resort in Šumava at an altitude of 1050 m above sea level. There are beautiful ski areas, lifts, chair lift to Churáňov, cross-country stadium, cross-country ski trails and ski jumps. A 7 km long nature trail to Churáňov with a number of beautiful views of the surroundings also begins in Zadov. The trail is suitable for both tourists and cross-country skiers. The surroundings of Zadov are interwoven with a number of marked hiking trails.
