How to spend your vacation in our Pension
Our guest house is located on the shore of the Všerubský pond, around which a new cycle path leads, along which you can go, for example, to the St. Anne's church on Brůdek, further to Kdyn, to the ruins of the Rýzmberg castle, from where there is a nice view of Domažlice, Chodsko, the Český les range, the Všerubský pass, the entire Šumava and the Bavarian Forest can be seen beautifully. In the opposite direction, the cycle path will take you to the German Furt im Wald to the beautiful Dragon Lake, which functions not only as a recreational area, but also as a natural site providing nesting grounds for hundreds of pairs of waterfowl. For skiers, the Hohen Bogen sports and leisure center with the longest illuminated slope in the Bavarian Forest, 10 minutes away by car, is very interesting. The cable car also operates here in the summer and is particularly attractive to families with children, as they can ride back on the summer toboggan run.
The sports and tourist activities offered here are really wide. They result from the fact that our PENSION is situated directly on the border of Bohemia and Germany, i.e. in an area that is interwoven with a dense network of cycle paths and hiking trails that will take you to, for example, the ruins of Rýzmberk and Herštejn castles, the Koráb observation tower or the famous pilgrimage site of St. . Anna on Tannaberk. On the Czech side, you can swim in the Aquapark in Kdyna (7 km) or in a clean natural location in Lomeček near Mrákov, which also offers diving courses.
On the German side, the swimming pool in Kötzting, with artificial waves, the water slide in Lamus and the indoor pool in Waldmünchen with artificial waves, water slide and calm zone, or the Dragon Lake in Furt im Wald are worth mentioning. All these centers are within 20 km from us. One cannot fail to mention the amusement park for children Churpfalzpar near Cham. For fans of winter fun, it offers ski lifts with perfect slopes and excellently groomed tracks for cross-country skiers in the area around Hohen Bogen and Gross Arber, 15 - 30 km from us.
Fishing on Myslívský rybník
The Myslív pond, located near the defunct settlement of the same name, is set in a beautiful valley where the Rybniční potok flows and is fed by it. It has an elongated shape and an area of 5 ha.
For many years, fishermen from the Klatovský fishery carried out intensive carp breeding here. We have been doing sport fishing here since 2016. We want to offer all decent and nature-friendly anglers to spend their free time here in the beautiful nature and catch beautiful fish, bred in this pond, which have already grown to respectable sizes. The pond is abundantly stocked with carp, tench, pike, sturgeon, grass carp and zander. (We will gradually buy more fish).

Possibilities of hiking
- In the vicinity of the pension, there are many marked hiking trails in the beautiful nature of Šumava and the Bohemian Forest.
- Upon request, we will provide you with information and maps of where to go.
- A few tips for a trip near the guesthouse:
- To the pilgrimage site to the church of St. Anna (approx. 2 km), the defunct village of Myslív with a pond and Sruby with an abandoned military company (approx. 2 km)
- Hike to Studánky with the possibility of picking mushrooms in the adjacent forest.
- There are many caches for ducks in the vicinity of the pension.
- If you can drive, the number of hiking trails is endless.
Cycling Šumava and the Český les
In the pension, we offer the possibility of renting 4 pcs of mountain bikes. We have a large garage for your own bikes.
For cyclists, the region here is optimal - there are many new cycle paths in the vicinity that are not crowded with cyclists. You can choose routes that are easier, or moderately demanding to brutal :-) Čerchov or Hohen Bogen.
We will be happy to advise you on the choice of routes. Very popular is, for example, the route around Dračí jezera with the possibility of swimming, or to Lomeček near Mrákov.
The nearest bicycle service with a shop is in Kdyna (7km) or we can lend you the most necessary tools.
Skiing in the vicinity
- For downhill skiing, the closest (13 km) is Hohen Bogen in Neukirchen info and snow report.
- Or the slope in Furth im Wald - Voithenberg (18 km)
- Another possibility is offered by Velký Javor (40km) Grosser Arber
- Cross-country skiers can use these locations, and there is also the option of modified cross-country trails in Čerchov, which are connected to trails in Germany near Furth im Wald.
