The newly built guest house with a parking lot, a bicycle storage room and a bicycle rental is located in a quiet part of Jindřichův Hradec. The location is especially suitable for those who like to see nature from the windows and at the same time just about 10 minutes walk to the historic city center. Practically equipped rooms, lounge (table), table tennis + wellness center, outdoor seating, all this is suitable for rest and relaxation, as well as active use for diverse clients.

Where to go on a trip? You will certainly not be bored in Jindřichův Hradec and its surroundings. Lovers of history, sports and holidaymakers eager to relax will find something to their liking.

 

  • J. Hradec State Castle and Chateau. The castle is one of our most famous and largest buildings. The stone castle is one of the oldest royal castles.
  • Church of St. John the Baptist. Gothic church with the chapel of St. Nicholas (pearl of High Gothic in southern Bohemia).
  • Church of St. Mary Magdalene. Probably the oldest church in Jindřichův Hradec founded by Jindřich I.
  • Provost's Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Its 68,3 m high tower dominates the entire old part of Jindřichův Hradec. In the summer months, open to the public with a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings, the 15th meridian of east longitude passes here.
  • Minorite monastery and hospital building at St. John the Baptist. Its foundation is associated with Oldřich III in the literature. (1316-1348).
  • Church of St. Catherine with the Franciscan monastery and monasteries. In 1478, Henry IV founded. church and built a monastery. Across the street opposite the monastery, it was connected to the church by a covered corridor on the arcades of the "monasteries" founded in 1534.
  • The cemetery church of the Holy Trinity is surrounded by the now closed cemetery. The Gothic-Renaissance church is single-nave with a pentagonally closed presbytery.
  • Cemetery Church of St. Wenceslas. The original Gothic church in 1399.
  • Church of St. Of St. James with the Černin tomb. It is said that a secret corridor leads from the chateau, and according to legend, there is a hidden treasure in these corridors.
  • The tapestry workshops were founded in 1910 by Marie Teinitzerová as workshops for weaving and restoring tapestries.
  • Brewery and mill. The mill is part of the chateau and was purchased by the National Monuments Institute of the Czech Republic. The mill was built in 1551, rebuilt in 1888 into a hydroelectric power plant, which was the first in Bohemia at the time. The installation of the turbine and dynamo (the original dynamo is located in the museum) was performed by František Křižík.
  • The Nežárka Gate, like the later adjoining former Jesuit seminary - an element of the city fortifications. From orig. only one of the three city gates has survived.
  • The former Jesuit college was built in the years 1595-1605 at the expense of Adam II. from Hradec and his wife Kateřina from Montfort. The restored premises now house a museum of photography.
  • Landfras printer. Alois Landfras had this building on Balbín Square rebuilt for his printer.
  • Langer's house is known for sgraffito and scenes from the Old Testament. At present, there is an exhibition and sales art gallery, concerts and chamber theater performances.
  • Old Town Hall. In 1493, a turret was built on it, on which Master Hanuš of Prague placed a new astronomical clock (allegedly the creator of the Prague Old Town Astronomical Clock).
  • The sculpture of the Holy Trinity (Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary) on Náměstí Míru dates from 1764-1766 and was built by the sculptor Matouš Strahovský. The twenty meter high column is a typical product of the Baroque, one of the many so-called Marian (plague) columns, built with the support of the Catholic Church in our squares.
  • Shooting range. There used to be a fence in these places (ie the space between the double fortifications, or between the fortifications and the moat), where the sharps of Jindřichův Hradec held their exercises. Today, Střelnice is the center of the cultural and social life of the city.
  • Jewish cemetery. Southwest of the town, on a height above the left bank of the Nežárka, once part of the manor garden serving as a falconry training ground, a Jewish cemetery was established around 1400.
  • The Vajgar pond was created on the site of the former swamps at the confluence of the Hamerský brook and Nežárka. The first mention of a pond and a bridge between Malý and Velký Vajgar is from 1399
  • The Jindřichův Hradec Museum is housed in the Renaissance building of the former Jesuit seminary. It was founded in 1882 and is one of the oldest regional museums in Bohemia. However, the most famous exhibits of the Jindřichův Hradec Museum are undoubtedly the famous Krýza Nativity Scene, the largest mechanical folk nativity scene in the world, registered in the Guinness Book of Records.
  • Museum of Czechoslovak fortifications is located 1,5 km east of the village Klášter II near Nová Bystřice. The fortification was built to defend the state border in 1938. In the vicinity of the fortress there are many other unfurnished buildings and preserved trenches from the mobilization in 1938.
  • Rope Museum in Deštná near Jindřichův Hradec. The only rope museum in the Czech Republic. It is located in the former workshop of one of the oldest rope families. It acquaints with the history of the rope craft, preserves functional machines and tools for the production of ropes from the second half of the 2th century.
  • Aviation Museum in Deštná. The exhibition presents Czechoslovak airmen fighting during World War II.
  • The building of the Jesuit dormitory in Jindřichův Hradec houses the National Museum of Photography. It collects historical and contemporary photographs, systematically processes and preserves Czech photography. It organizes exhibitions of photographs by both Czech and world-famous photographers.
  • In the Museum of Fossils in Roseč millions of years old bones of prehistoric animals, fossils of trilobites, fish, plants and other similar uniques can be seen.
  • Červená Lhota State Chateau. Renaissance water castle, built on a rocky island in the middle of a pond surrounded by an English park with a castle chapel.
  • State Castle Landstejn was built in the early 13th century. as a stronghold of the territory on the tri-border of Bohemia, Moravia and Austria. One of the most important Romanesque monuments in Central Europe.
  • Castle in Stráž nad Nežárkou is a baroque feudal seat, created by rebuilding a Gothic castle. He is best known for his world-famous opera singer Emma Destinn.
  • Třeboň Chateau. The Rosenberg rooms recall the development of Třeboň during the reign of the last Rosenberg rulers Vilém and Petr Vok. The exhibition includes a map of the famous Třeboň pond system. A number of unique personal items of the princely family are concentrated in the Schwarzanberg suites. The relationship with hunting is reminiscent of an exposition-modified stables. An integral part of the Třeboň chateau is a Renaissance garden with an exhibition summer house.
  • Dačice Castle. In the southern wing of the chateau there is a year-round Municipal Museum and Gallery. The ground floor of the chateau is mostly in the Baroque style. The first floor is influenced by the Empire, with the exception of the remarkable two-storey library in the style of late Viennese Art Nouveau
