Bikers in Germany in Šumava - Bavarian Forest and Falkenstein National Park

All articles_button

Everything I made up about cycling activities came out this week. That's why I wanted to use the wool and finally ride the border bikes from the Czech Republic to Germany. As a destination I chose the German Šumava - Bavarian Forest National Park and a clear goal in it, namely Grosser Falkenstein with an altitude of 1315 m. However, I did not tell the girls that it will be "probably" only uphill. cheeky However, we were looking forward to the trip. Finally, we were able to meet another of this year's cycling goals ... cool

From Železná Ruda via Zwieslerwaldhaus

We also brought the fables to Železná Ruda by train. There, with coffee, we enjoy the mountain air and the atmosphere that prevailed here. I'm preparing a map - navigation and we're leaving slowly. I had a bit of a problem with that, because there are strictly reserved places for cyclists in Šumava in the Czech Republic and in Germany, and we definitely didn't want to get a fine ... angel

After a few kilometers we reach the Czech-German border. This is the first time for us on a bike, so you certainly understand that this event aroused certain emotions in us.heart

And so much so that Kája wanted to kick the "cycling mom" a bit in the ass.cheeky

The kick is followed by a passage through the Zwieslerwaldhaus. Kája notices a sign at one of the barracks warning of bears. Then I say to her: "Don't worry Kájo, if you drive faster than 50 km / h uphill, you should be fine" cool. It seems that Kája was not reassured ... indecision

The ascent to Grosser Falkenstein begins

It showed me a shortcut on the map, but it meant getting off the bike and pushing uphill for about 1,6 km. After a rest, where we pushed the fables, we get on again and start pedaling. The girls suspected that there would be many more hills here than they had originally expected. Um, so they figured it out for me .. cheeky After about two kilometers, we take a break so that we can take off the functional T-shirts, because it started to get warm. angel This is what Míša looked like when she found out that from now on we would go again and only uphill. angry

As we changed during a short break, about 20 laps whizzed past us. The girls were surprised that it was all electric bikes. I didn't care, I ride for myself and for myself, so I don't care (fuck reads) what does anyone ride. But the girls, who have run much less than me, paused and it was a little demotivating for them. However, I later took advantage of this. wink

This was followed by a German count of passing cyclists. I explained it to Míša (even though I'm not an expert in German, but I know a little bit) Her subsequent counting was like this: AIDS, two, three, four, FUJ, SEX, sieben ... cheekysmiley I don't know, either she misunderstood me, or was it female counting in German? cool

Final challenge - digging uphill - 4 km - Grosser Falkenstein

We took short breaks on the signposts. And also at this little waterfall. heart

Then just walk out. The girls held on bravely. As I mentioned, cyclists with flashlights were blessed here. Very often someone around us whistled like that. I didn't care, but not the girls at all, and it had a demotivating effect on them sad. Míša didn't go to Grossen Falkenstein without a break (a few seconds to exhale), but she didn't give up. When she couldn't, she pushed the bike and then rode again, she definitely didn't stop;). And what about Kája, who is only 12 years old? She bit into it and rode like a machine devil. Breathing hard, tears on the edge, but she kept going. I told her several times that she could give it up, but she didn't want to back down. When about the 150th E-wheel passed us, I say to her: This means that you will be one of the few to conquer Fuckinstein (renaming it after 2 kilometers of pedaling) on your own. That encouraged her and she kept going. Only the last section was about 80 meters, but then she got on again and finished it. Hats off, I'd fuck off at the age of 12. cheeky

Another photo of E-bikes, nice collection .. :) However, I saw about 4 cyclists without a flashlight. It was all guys aged 25-35. But no girl or woman. When Kaja saw it, a satisfied expression appeared on her face wink. She knew she had conquered this peak on her own, and that day she was the only self-propelled "Supergirl" on Fuckinstein. This is exactly how biker self-confidence is builtcool. Then she understood that a ton of E-bikes all around us confirmed her in what she was able to do today, and that everyone rides for themselves and for themselves. Yes

Míša found a motivational and monumental stone on Falkenstein with an inscription, which in translation roughly means: Step by step to the goal. She will definitely remember this trip and hike .. wink

Refreshments at Grossen Falkenstein - Schutzhaus

Then followed the order of food. Fortunately, it turned out that the waiter is Czech because in my greeting "Guten tag dude" he said: "Yeah, so we can follow ours, I'm Czech like a log" Yes. I answered him: "I am also a log, but from Slovakia" cheeky Then I order some elderberry water, coffee and soup. It sounded like this from my mouth: "Drei mal Scheisse Wasser und zweimal scheisse Suppe"cool. Well, it was nice that the waiter is Czech, because they didn't have any scheisse (shit = shit, ass) snacks on the menu. At least that's what I judged from the deep smile of the German woman sitting with us at one table. indecision

The view of Grosser Falkenstein was great, the hard work was definitely worth it. Well, judge for yourself. cool

And a classic family photo after the conquest of Fuckinstein, of course, must not be missed .. cheeky

The ladies then decided to collect the Falkenstein cache. To our disappointment there was only a toy from kinderka and some piece of rag (probably also a toy) frown. We expected more from the cache at the top. Fortunately, Míša found a painted stone, so the cache didn't bother us that much. Yes

When we have enough of the local atmosphere, we get on our bikes and go back to Železná Ruda. On the way, Kája thought she didn't understand how she could walk this hillwink. Along the way on the train, we played cards, talked about the experiences we had today. At that veget and cool ..

If you would like to stay and go through more, I enclose tips for accommodation in the nearby Zwieslerwalrdhaus and the surrounding area.

Our first bike trip to Germany turned out well and we took away a lot of experiences and impressionswink. Bavaria, look forward to us, we will definitely be back ..heart
