Not every journey must unconditionally lead beyond Czechoslovakia. Our countries are beautiful and definitely there is something to admire. Our little Leonard was nine months old and a month ago we were preparing for his first long trip to our Mici. We wanted to first test how it would endure and we manage, so we chose for a weekend in northern Bohemia.
From Ruzomberok we started Friday after work and in the evening we arrived in Zlín to ZOO, which we think is one of the most beautiful we have seen. We slept in the parking lot before ZOO Lesna - Zlin and in the morning they took a stroller for a tour. The zoo is very large and is divided by continents, so you are gradually passing through the world. Part of the Zoo is a nice chateau, which we did but only looked outside.
At ZOO we spent half a day and then moved to nearby Kroměříž. We looked at the flower garden, but we forgot to take the camera so I have no photos. I will help with the internet. The garden was nice, we bought the pretzels on the way and headed for the Macocha Cave. In the evening we came to her and we slept in the parking lot at the cave, where two Polish VW California were parked. My heart was burning, I wiped my sinew and went to sleep.
In the morning, after breakfast, Veronika chose the cave, but to our disappointment, the lady told us at the window that if we do not have a reservation we can not get to the cave. So we lifted the anchors and headed for the fairy-tale village. I found this place on the internet by accident and we wanted to see it because the houses looked magical here. On the way we stopped at Pernstejn Castle. The stroller here got to the dice, but the castle was pretty nice so it was worth it. We had lunch in the rectory under the castle and continued to the cottages.
Fairy Village - Podlesíčko is part of the hotel complex Podlesí in Svratka. The cottages are for rent and you can just walk there for a fee. It looks magical here and we will definitely come here. You can read more about the resort here (here) Our journey continued around several nice ponds and Cat Castle, which we were, but missed because we wanted to get safari in Dvůr Králové nad Labem. Due to the lack of time we missed the large aquarium in Hradec Králové, which we originally wanted to visit.
We arrived an hour before closing the safari. Zoo safari courtyard Kralove is open longer. The whole safari took place very quickly. I was disappointed with him. As a child, I was on a safari in Vienna, where a camel wearing a carpet we had on the roof of the Škodovka and elephant chobotem obslintal the interior of the car after we failed to close the window. The lion lay across the road and did not want us to go any further. I just remember this as a great experience I wanted to indulge in Leonardo. Here we saw only the deer and the deer and the antelope. Zebra came to me like an exotic animal when we think of a cheetah lying behind a fence facing our back. In order to fix a bit of disgust, we chose a zoo, which I have to say is quite nice. We slept in the camp that is part of the Zoo and the giraffe gives you a good night here. At least you have the feeling that you are safari in Africa.
There was a brutal drift in the night, cooled down, and because we had no heating in the car, so in the morning I started a car in the morning to make the other camps very happy. Fortunately, there were not many. In the morning we woke up in the winter, and when I looked behind the windows and saw the man who sat soaked next to his tent I thanked for Little and no heating. We took breakfast and chose home. That afternoon, my birthday party with my friends was waiting for me at home. The test path came out quite well, little Leonard was doing it well and revealed a few shortcomings for us to remove before going to Greece.
