I enjoyed a wonderful bike ride when I went from Břeclav to the Ranšpurk nature reserve, which is part of the beautiful floodplain forest near Lanžhot. I went to the Ranšpurk nature reserve from Břeclav, which is known for being an imaginary cycling gateway to the Lednice-Valtice area. However, I went in the opposite direction, where, for a change, there are beautiful floodplain forests around the Morava and Dyje rivers.
The route is 30 km long
I set out from Břeclav along a classic cycle path, which will take you to the very bowels of the floodplain forests, where you soak up the pristine beauty of nature with full sips.
Swamps and dead shoulders
From my bicycle, I saw an interesting and, above all, diverse world of floodplain forest on an undemanding flat road. In my mind I repeated my poor knowledge of science, but I did recognize some deciduous trees. It is a really big feast for the eyes, because along the way you will see really different species of deciduous trees, which are very well attached to the riverbeds. However, I was clearly excited about the large number of wetlands, swamps, pools and dead shoulders. It is such a small forest that will delight anyone who likes to observe and photograph nature.
Especially beautiful are the local swamps, which play an amazing concert of different shades of green, which heals. Before the trip, I prepared a little here and found out that swamps and wetlands also have their holiday in the calendar. This holiday is the second of February. On this day, the so-called Ramsar Convention is celebrated, which protects all swamps, wetlands and swamps around the world. This is because wetlands are one of the most important habitats in the world. On the way around the swamps and wetlands, I still saw a small boar field, in which I took a picture of a boar family and I was quite happy that it moves behind the sturdy fence of the field.
Ranchpurk National Nature Reserve
The goal of my trip was the Ranšpurk National Nature Reserve, which is located in the picturesque area of the confluence of the two rivers Morava and Dyje. It's a stunning location where you can really calm down and come up with other ideas. I appreciate the nature reserve that it is a part of the floodplain forest, in which a completely spontaneous development has been allowed. The whole area is fenced, but the asphalt bike path leads around the entire fence, so the small Moravian "jungle" can be very well observed and photographed despite the fence ..
