Today we have a promised interview with the operator camping Podroužek, which you can find in the district of Prachatice - South Bohemia, Šumava. Camping / Campground Podroužek ranks third in the best rated camps for the Czech Republic and Slovakia in 2016. Mrs. Mužíková describes us today more closely the activities of her team that brought this camp to the TOP 3 of the best rated 2016 camps.
Good morning Mrs. Mužíková. First of all, we would like to congratulate you on the Top 3 best rated camps in the 2016 season. Last year we did not even reach TOP 10 on our portal. What do you attribute to this season's success?
This year has its basics last year, as this year's season is underway, and it is still premature to assess how it will turn out. More or less everything depends on the weather. Last year was very warm, it wished mainly to carpenters and caravans, we recorded an increase in this group. The new restaurant operator has a large share in the success.
Have any other changes been made in your campsite?
Last year, after long negotiations with ÚZSVM, we bought land in our camp under the buildings, the other land was bought by the city of Netolice, for which we were happy, because otherwise we would be in debt for several years and we could not continue the planned repairs. This year, in April, we replaced the tanks for hot water heating and carved old ones, and on that occasion the roofing was also replaced. A new boiler was also installed in the restaurant. We also installed boilers for hot water heating and showers in Irena-type cottages. We replaced 5 lights on public lighting with energy-saving LED lights. We also put LED lights in the cottages, the cottages were painted on the outside and inside. Another big change was the planned pruning of the stand in the camp, 12 poplar trees were felled due to their age and danger, because these trees have very brittle wood, but we immediately planted 14 new trees, mainly birch, two oaks and one linden, which are to be the world, they all caught on. There are 6 new sessions for holidaymakers on the plot along the water - the town of Netolice received a grant for this session, we participated in the landscaping. We brought 4 cars of sand to the entrance of the pond to level the bottom and the shore. A bicycle rental is also a novelty.
We know that "recently" you have solved problems with a restaurant operator located right on your premises. Were you able to solve this problem for the benefit of satisfied guests?
Yes, it worked. It's fine again after a long time. The restaurant is full of satisfied guests, for which I am very happy, people praise the approach of Mr. Petr Háček, willingness, humor, calm, it was a hit in the black, and the style he takes care of his guests has a big part in being people. satisfied with us and that we placed 3rd is also his great merit. Now we are a well-coordinated team after a long time.
This season seems to be stronger. An inalienable factor has been a problem with immigrants and consequently with security in different European destinations. As a result, many tourists prefer to leave "home". How did you fill your accommodation capacities in Podroužek?
I have to say that the interest in the cottages is great, there is still demand for shorter stays, weekly and multi-day. In my opinion, a great deal of interest in advertising is mainly due to accommodation portals like yours, where they can compare photos, prices, services and especially reviews that many people will give. I also ask new clients how they learned about us, to know if it was on the advice of friends, or on the basis of advertising or just coincidence. As far as the political happenings in the world and the spending of the tourists are at home, they are more demanding clientele and they are looking for guesthouses, hotels and better equipped cottages. under a tent, or into a small camper camp, they will certainly not go. I have to say that from 60% we have a permanent client or one that returns at certain intervals.
From which groups of guests did you see the biggest increase in traffic over last year?
It is quite balanced, group stays are repeated regularly - motorcycle events, VW meeting, dog shows, cyclists. Last year there was an increase in carpenters and caravans. Every decent client is welcome with us, we try to satisfy our wishes and provide our services as best we can. Thank you to all clients who sent us a voice, let other holidaymakers know about us, and if they come back to us, we will be happy to welcome them and take care of them, just like when they were with us for the first time.
It can be seen that for a successful camp, years of work have been a lot of work, but you manage it successfully. We wish you a lot of satisfied guests in the future and thank you for your interview.
