Camper - Amazing Sardinia

The road to Sardinia began in the port of Santa Teresa, where we sailed from Bonifacio to Corsica. The town is quite nice, but nothing special and the map is fascinated by a spur near Capo Tesla. Despite the fact that I like Niklas Tesla's work, it seemed interesting. When we arrived at the end of the journey, this place took our breath away. There is nothing but a bar and pure beauty created by nature, and it can not be described in great words, take a look at the photos and see something on the web and give it two times and you will be where we were when we saw it.

Stunned by the very first place in Sardinia, we are expecting what we are going to see on the night, heading northward westward. Bad choice. All this part is industrial and our enthusiasm quickly cooled. We reached the northeast corner of the small town of Stintino with a nice beach, but everything including parking lots is paid here and it is the same hotel so we stayed near the small town and continued south.

The West Coast route was the same as in Corsica. Beaches long and sandy but dirty and boring. Bridging the cycle path around Lake Lago di Baratz where we slept in the forest for one night.

From the lake, we chose to go to Alghero where we wanted to see the historic center where the legends of the rally race were parked, but I did not predict. We needed to replenish the stock so we headed to the shopping center and as we stood in the parking lot, we stopped the WRC-branded car, and three guys in the WRC-shirt came out. It was my turn to run the Rally Sardinia at the time, so I asked them what was going on in the city. Luckily we met, the next day we were scheduled to arrive at the Alghero depot and then take a speed test exactly on our next route. Because Leonard watches Rally races like his dad instead of fairy tales, it was clear that we are staying here. In the evening, we looked at the very nice historic center with the rally legends deployed here and slept full of expectations in the parking lot near the beach, even though we did not like any camp in the city.

The next morning we made a trip to the nearby Grotta di Nettuno. It is Neptune's cave which is just above the sea and access to it by a sightseeing boat from Alghero or about a million steps in the heat from the cliff above it. Guess what path we chose? The cave is beautiful and if you are near it I would definitely recommend it to visit. Stairs will be left to your consideration ...

Then she was followed men's ride. We first checked incoming cars, working with a mechanic, and Leonard got a signature card from J. Kopecký. And then we went for a fighter ride along the road where the rallies of the cars that shifted to the speed test were overtaken by us. Leonard screamed with joy at me.

The test was held in narrow stone corridors and was perfect, but not enough for the WRC Rally Sardegna rally 2015

Beaches to the south were dull and something was missing so we decided to go as far south as possible to Cagliari.

Because it's a big port city and we do not like the crowds, we have to decide whether to give a chance to the south or we will move east. We went south to the Nora area. We slept a bit from the beach, but it was all about saying nothing about it. So I do not say it was ugly. There were historical buildings, but again something was missing. We still expected another to appear Capo Tesla.

So we decided not to go further west and turn the car east. Along the way, we have discovered a forgotten beach where there were no living souls. I have not seen anything like that yet, the parking lot of the restaurant, and everything looked like an old movie. Even the showers worked like the first beach in Sardinia. So we refreshed and continued.

Cagliari just flew a tanker stop and we stopped at the southeastern tip of Sardinia in the Spiaggio di Porto Giunco area. Our hearts fumed because we found what we were looking for. More than the adjoining lagoon on which the flamingos traveled distributed only a narrow strip of beach, and it was all beautiful and we would rather stay here.

We slept in the parking lot where the ban was parked but everyone stood there. I assumed that it only happened at night because all the cars were leaving for the evening so we went to the nearby woods, but we had 4x4 and the police would not get to us by ordinary car. The night was quiet so they did not really get it or they did not deal with it yet.

Time has faded away and we have had the entire eastern coast before us. The journey led through the high hills inland that we overcame at night because it was the same turn and over the day there would be little masonry. We arrived to Cala Gonone.

Here we have found a nice place to sleep right in the center under the trees. While walking through the city, we have provisionally arranged a sightseeing cruise, but a girl approached us or we did not want to go on a cruise. We told her that we already agreed, and that if we were going our own boat. And I do not have a captain's test so not. It was not a problem for her. For almost the same money, we hired a motorboat with a full set of beach equipment for the whole day. In the evening, we looked at a nice aquarium where we also brushed the stingray.

The next morning after the briefing, which was that there was a steering wheel, here it is ahead and backwards we set out according to the map we got to explore the coast with the cliffs. There were a number of magical beaches that were only accessible by boat and I have one advice for you. Do not park with the boat on the beach, the sea will print it to the shore and get it back to the sea will make you a great deal of effort. Throw anchor and float on shore. The Council of the Sea Wolf Beginner. :-)

Before us were the last days in Sardinia we headed north to Olbia. We also had a stop in the Maddalena area, which is considered a European caribbean, and its villas have celebrities around the world. We did not plan to stay here because everywhere it says there is a very expensive one. At night we parked in the Capriccioli area. In the morning we chose the beach and it took our breath more than Capo Tesla. This should be seen to describe this part of Sardinia not meaningful. We went through several places on the bikes and we regretted that we did not have more time.

From Olbia, we sailed for a night cruise to Livorno. We took the boats and sleeping bags in the ship because I had seen a similar voyage, and I knew that when the lights went out, everyone would get off the seats. We have laid out the balloons in the light, and nobody told us anything.

We landed straight after disembarkation to the city of Pisa which was on the way home with only a small detour. Looking at the Leaning Tower, we shot the same embarrassing photos as millions of tourists before us and continued on to Venice.

In Venice we caught a pour, but at least chilled the air for a walk among the boutiques and the surreal crowds of people with shields in their hands. I think we were one of the few who did not. Leonard had the greatest pleasure of the pigeons at Piazza San Marco, and the puddles only contributed to the joy.

The way home was already standard at night and my crew slept with a quiet sleep full of impressions and experiences of an amazing holiday.
