Caravan from France to Austrian Alps - Part 3.

Monday - traditionally we get up early in the morning and after breakfast and shower we go through another Alpine saddle (Furkapass), which we passed last night for fogs with visibility 20 meters. This time we enjoy the weather, it is azure, sun and heat so we can not miss the Rhonegletscher glacier. We did not see the fog last time. We are here before the opening, nowhere to live, so we have a chance to watch the chamois from about 40 meters. Now we are still on the hillside and we pass several hotels with OSB slabs. The glacier has diminished and tourists unfortunately disappeared. At Brig, we stop at Hängebrücke über Rotten at Fürgangen-Bellwald. Length 280 meters, height above river 94 meters.

We walk to the other bank, we try to cross the ban, and continue around Sion (we again did not turn to the highest dam in Europe Lac des Dix over Pralongo) this year for Martigny. At Martigny, we only ship and climb to the next saddle towards France. Of course, we must not forget the traditional snack on the landing stage overlooking the city with a stunning view. A couple of miles, this time a blank customs house, and in a while we head into Chamonix, where as always when we come, the mountains are in the clouds. And I've already banged the price for a Mont Blanc cable car (every year is higher and higher), but it would be quite expensive laundry. Only Japanese guided tourists go upstairs. We continue off the highway and lead us through narrow roads and various countryside abbreviations. We even waited for one village to get us a herd of cows. The car looked like she did not want to take the dishwasher either.

In the evening we arrived at our first destination in France - the historic town of Perouges - which is one of the reasons why we are so happy to return to southern France. We have a problem here - the local camp, although it is in the guide, is visibly out of operation for several years. We are looking for another, but here, unlike the rest of France, it is quite difficult. So Perouges has to wait until tomorrow and we are looking for a night. In the end, we are lucky to find a camp in operation in the dark (Saint Maurice de Gourdans) and because it is too late, the cash register does not work, which we earn - without a document for 15 Euros.
