Thursday - after nightfall of clouds we can see what water can do without regulation - the first dam on the river is 70 km downstream and nothing more. The level went up by a meter, and the quiet joke where we wanted to bathe yesterday is a raging stream where only a fool would climb. But we continue in history: the following monument is the only Chateau de la Lavoute Polignac in the upper Loire Valley. Chateau surrounded by a high wall on the promontory of the river, something smaller in the Rožmberk nad Vltavou.
From his balconies we had the opportunity to see where the river can flow. At the gate, it is enough to ring and the Countess tosses the rake, stops editing the paths in the park and takes the role of a guide. After our departure, we do not wait or wait until we close the door behind us :-). In the middle of the castle the old spouses live and in the second half visitors are done. It is already in the courtyard that there is no money or maintenance effort and it is confirmed in the interiors :-(, most of the Czech castles are in much better condition, but the owners will compensate everything (the owner basically apologizes for the 8 entry fee) Euro per person).
Here we are witnessing a different view of history. On the wall he has portraits of Maria Theresa with her husband. I want to explain to her that she is a very important ruler of our history. No no it's just Marie Antoinette's mother :-). The castle could only be photographed outside (and we respected the privacy of the inhabitants), but according to the photos on google maps, there is evidence that visitors unfortunately do not observe it. A visit to another castle (or rather a castle) was a coincidence. On the way to lunch, Janinka noticed a signpost by the road at the Lavoute crossroads - Chateau de La Rochelambert. And so it turned away. Unfortunately, after 15 kilometers, we found out that this is another family home, where the owners go to work and do tours only in the afternoon.
For today, last and only out - Forteresse de Polignac, which is listed as a hotel, but obviously has been closed for a long time. This time we sleep in camping Cozy camp for 21 Euro per night. It is nice French camp. ;)
