The Covid madness continues successfully for the second year, and in my opinion, even those who invent it do not know the measures. Probably the goal :)). After the experience of last year, when we toured the whole Balkans without any problems, I know that we would be at peace by the sea, but the circus after returning to Slovakia is not worth it. The meaningfulness of the measure and the possibility to predict the situation is zero, so for us it follows that we remain to get to know Slovakia and will build on previous trips to eastern, central and western Slovakia. This time we chose the regions of Turiec, Horní and Dolní Nitru.

We set off on Friday after work and the first stop was an abandoned train tunnel near the village of Kraľovany. I walk around this place at least once a week, like about half of Slovaks who go through population withdrawals every weekend. It is located between Kraľovany and a bend with rest stops in front of Šútovo. The entrance to it is overgrown with trees and it looks a little scary. We entered only a few meters and Leonard was still afraid, so we continued to stretch. Along the way, we stopped at a lake where soldiers train, but now there were many fishermen sitting here. At Strečno, we moved the compus to the other side of the Váh. On the hill is the Nezbudská Lúčka Panorama restaurant, where they have been building and expanding it for years smiley. We were here for the first time when we wandered around Rajce. I'll write that one day wink. There is currently a new entertainment for children. She has a fairytale forest, where various characters from well-known fairy tales are nicely incorporated into the terrain of the hill. The whole walk is about half an hour and can be completed with a pram. We are already used to the fact that every attraction in Slovakia costs as much as in Germany. In any case, the children liked it, even though Elizabeth was frightened when they started singing crocodiles angel. Not far from here is the Asphalt Lake, which was created by mining asphalt in these places, and the remains of it can be seen on the rocks on which in the warm months asphalt still flows into the lake. Bathing is not recommended due to undercurrent. We really liked the place, so we spent the night here. The sunset was beautiful here and my mother had to take pictures right away. Photos are unpublishable .. devil

The morning was warm, so the choice was clear. Swimming pool in Vrútky Yes. It is a place where time and fortunately prices stopped. The only thing the children missed here were water slides, but otherwise we spent the whole day here. In the afternoon we moved to Belianská dolina. We wanted to go see the waterfall, but in the middle of the valley there is a ban on entry and we didn't want to walk 8 km in the sun all day in the sun. We went to sleep under the dam of the Belianská brook, where it was pleasantly cool. smiley

In the morning we headed in the direction of the Gader Valley. Along the way, we stopped at the lookout tower on Brotnice from where there are wonderful views of the surroundings. Not far from here is the road to the ruins of the castle Blatnica. This ruin, as well as others in Slovakia, is being reconstructed, but there is not much to see yet. The view of the Gader Valley is interesting. After arriving in Blatnice, where the entrance to the valley is located, it began to drizzle. We take one electric scooter with us, we rented the other at a local rental shop and set off to the end of the valley to the Devil's Gate. An asphalt road leads here and I definitely like such hiking more than with Elizabeth on my shoulders cheeky. On the way back we were caught by quite heavy rain, so we came back wet like a mouse, but the trip was nice. As it was raining, we decided to move to Bojnice. On the way we stopped at the water reservoir in Kanianka. It was ugly and we didn't find a place to sleep here. At the well next to the football stadium in Bojnice, we replenished the water and went to see the Bojnice spa. When we arrived at the bastion at the spring, we were greeted by the construction site of a new hotel and it was raining. The only way to sew was Detk indoor playground. We stayed here for about two hours and started looking for a place to sleep. In Bojnice, all car parks are paid for or there is a ban on entry. We finally found a place by the river. At night we were overtaken by a brutal storm with lightning, so I didn't get much sleep. angry

After waking up, mud everywhere and the Maco caravan looked like a thoroughbred offroad after leaving the river. I like this so much. cheeky The sun began to shine and we set out for the Seagull in the Clouds viewpoint. No one was here. We parked in a paid parking lot, in Slovakia parking lots are the biggest business. There is a nice children's park around the lookout point, where the biscuits went crazy and I also ran to the lookout for 10 € per person. When you are in Bojnice, the chateau or ZOO is a mandatory ride. So the ZOO. We took a few photos that no one has yet and bought cowsheds at the stalls at the exit of the zoo. I like this so much. angry The weather was still all sorts, we decided to go see the water reservoir in Nitrianske Rudno. The road here was beautiful and the views amazing. We would find a place to sleep by the reservoir and there is also a camp, but there were many fishermen everywhere and we did not like it very much. OK, we continue in the direction of Bojná. Along the way, I discovered a turnoff to a reservoir in Carpenter. We walked around it and at the end we found a sewn-in children's camp. Around the reservoir again the fisherman himself, but we found a nice place to sleep under the dam and we enjoyed the return in time. Local children played on the dike, jumped into the water from the locks and rode on the Babety in the meadow. Just a world without bans and I like that so much. heart

In the morning we replenished the water supply from the local spring. According to the domestic fisherman, the muscles grow from him, although it is also possible that we will shit right away .... crying Neither happened. In Tesáry we wanted to see the local castle, but it was locked ... for about a few years. We moved to the ranch below Babica, where there is a restaurant and a zoo, on a beautiful dirt road around the wheat fields. Nice place and activities for children for the whole day. The only thing that bothered me were the bans. Everywhere we looked. In Australia you will find the inscription "walk barefoot on the grass, hug the trees and love nature" with us you will find "strict ban, keep your distance, you are under the cameras". What to add, we have what we deserve. Not far from Bojná is the ancient site of Slavic culture, but Elizabeth fell asleep after lunch. So lunch is not much and the price is high. On the way, we turned to the Devil's Furnace, which is basically a continuous rock not far from the parking lot. They also have some goats, piglets, deer and a restaurant. After all the game, I wanted a little culture, so I headed to Oponice, where there is a renovated monastery with a beautiful park. It currently serves as a hotel, but there is a beautiful renovated library with more than 10.000 books and the man who makes the explanation will very interestingly explain the history of the local estate and the conditions in which it was once lived. I also took a "PCR" test from 1930. It didn't take even 90 years and history repeats itself. I definitely recommend taking this tour. My mother was also on her way around Slovakia with her sister and nephew at that time. We connected with them and after shopping in Nitra we came to Paradise Beach by the river Váh. When you think about it, it's a river that flows through my hometown, then it looks like the sea. Yellow fine sand, warm water and ours have found their own private beach cool. We took a bath and decided to stay overnight despite the warning that there were a million mosquitoes. Hmm. At ten o'clock in the car it was 29 degrees in the car and there was a blood sample outside to such an extent that we had to run away and move to Hurban's Bohatá gravel pit, where it was a little colder because it was blowing and there were no mosquitoes. wink

After waking up around us again full of fishermen. I have a feeling that during the corona, every inch of the shore by the water was appropriated by a fisherman. Nobody told us anything, but I feel a little uncomfortable in the company of silent fools. Maybe it's because I'm a diver and I prefer to see fish underwater rather than on a hook. There is a well-known observatory in Hurbanov where we took a tour that didn't give me anything. There was also a sister with my mother and they liked it, so I'm probably not the right unit of measure. I'm very interested in the universe and I read and watch a lot about it. The only interesting thing for me was telling about history. Well, nothing, I expected more. We had lunch in the church across the road, where we ate very well at low prices with friendly service. I definitely recommend. The original plan changed a bit due to the rain in Prievidza and mosquitoes near Váh. I headed towards Dudince, where we stopped at the swimming pool in Santovka. Very nice small swimming pool and children had a children's pool just for themselves. There is also a Turkish mini Pamukkale with small Kadans. We also played ping pong on the table, which is just built here with rackets and balls. Wonder of the world, you don't pay and nobody steals the rockets ... surprise We slept a short distance from the playground and the Santovka spring, which was once a famous mineral water sold all over the world.

The next day I planned to stop at the nuclear power plant in Mochovce. There is the Energoland Science Center, where they will show you how energy is created and works. I assumed that it would be something like Vidacentrum in Brno, where we liked it very much. Unfortunately, it is necessary to book to Energoland in advance and the first free date was one week. The road led to Vartovka in Krupina. It is a lookout tower that has stood here for several centuries. So this one is renovated, but there is a beautiful view from here and you can get to it by car. There are also Turkish wells in Krupina, which they are ... they don't really know exactly what it is, but it looks like a dwelling in the rocks, of which there are many in the area. We saw them during last year's trip to central Slovakia with our pack. The chateau in Svět Anton was recommended to more people and now we had time for it, so we went here. The castle is beautiful and nicely furnished inside. Annoying "guides" who don't accompany you and they won't tell you anything about history, I didn't like it so much anymore indecision. They will only let you into the castle in small groups. Understand, we went inside alone as a family. Someone was warning me all the time about the veil I had under my nose. I don't know how to infect those beautiful decorated furniture or stuffed animals. If I were sick, I would lie in bed at home and not run around the locks. Too bad to get upset. The Sport & Music fest took place near Zvolen over the weekend, where we were registered for a volleyball tournament on the grass. We arrived here on Thursday evening and the perfect owner Janka allowed us to sleep in the meadow behind the volleyball courts. wink. The rest of the team and their families arrived on Friday and we enjoyed the whole weekend in a great game of sports and entertainment. The children ran "Spartan", we saw a tournament in beach volleyball, where the top Slovak beach volleyball players met. In the evening we had fun with Elán revival and beautiful photos were taken by our friend Mario. During the whole weekend, the heat alternated with storms, but it did not spoil our mood and in the end we finished second in the tournament. Yescool
