Dwelling in Slovakia - collecting nuts in Bratislava

All articles_button

Our pack set off again. The Renault polish broke down, so this time it was missing, but it was replaced with dignity by the reconstructed Majova T4. She got a new varnish and the black and white combination is very good for her. We set off on Friday after work in the direction of Nové město nad Váhom without Miša, he came to see us at night. We found a nice place by the Váh canal and had a few glasses by the fire. When Mišo called us that where we were, Maj and I already had an obviously damaged compass, because we could not navigate it. The crown was given to it by Veronika, who got us into the picture, and she usually has no idea where we are ... cheeky

The map is active, so you can work with it, there are also places we didn't have time to look at. The whole route is 613 km and we covered it in three days. wink

In the morning we glued a molding to Maj's windshield, because the roof wanted to fly away on his way here :-))). We have never managed to leave before 10:00 am and it was no different now. We crossed bridges, over a canal and stopped at the place where we originally wanted to sleep. Hold a spoiled compass. There is a nice beach (right on the river Váh) and we will definitely return here in the summer. Along the way, we found the first of the nut trees. Maťa has a sonar set on them in her head. So we collected the grabbed nuts, like the right collectors, and continued to the lookout tower at Velké Homoly. The children caught a cache at the Head and the Three Riders, where a meeting of rock climbers took place, and we were soon blown away from the top of the tower as a strong and cold wind blew there. Of course we found other nuts, which we collected again blush. Upon our return, we cooked lunch at the Kučišdorf Reservoir and headed for Slavín. It's a hell I didn't get here until I was 46. It is a very nice and dignified place and like Dukla and Kriváň it should belong to the obligatory ride of every (not only) Slovak. We slept under Devín Castle, which is definitely another place that tells about the history of Slovakia. We have our own portable fireplace, so sitting by the fire could not be missed.cool

The castle is extensive and very nice. Nice and shared guide. A friend from Ružomberok came to us with his family, who was also on a trip to Bratislava. At the castle we learned a lot of interesting about the history and of course we found what? Nuts smiley. We had lunch in the parking lot below the castle and moved to Sandberg. It is a very nice place where, with a little effort, you can find a fossil in the sand, which was once a seabed. Leonard was successful this time and enjoyed the 17 million old seashell.

On the way home, we stopped at another mandatory stop for every Slovak and sensible Slovak. In Ikea cool. The journey home went smoothly this time and no one ended up on the rope ...  Yes
