Are you also cordial and do you love trips to our meadows and groves? You have a "right" who stands on a burnt back from the Adriatic, or a fond memory of sea jellyfish. We fell in love with a cycling holiday in the Czech Republic (without children, perhaps they will forgive us). What more could you want, you will pack only the essentials and if you forget something, the world will not collapse. There is a shop on every corner where you can buy everything from a toothbrush to a spare cycling jersey.
This time the choice fell on Prachov Rocks. I still vaguely remember the school trip to the womb of these rocks. Everything looks different in the child's eyes, so I wanted to see if this corner was still as beautiful as it was in my memories. To my amazement, almost nothing had changed. The rocks are still truly majestic, noble and speak daily to tens and hundreds of tourists eager for new experiences.
The first days of the survey
We stayed in the Jinolice camp, from there it is a stone's throw to "Prachovky". The cottages are designed for undemanding "spectators", the showers and toilets were clean, and that is enough for my satisfaction. Only my indispensable own sleeping bag is a sure bet. I am happy to leave errea blankets and pillows to other visitors. Footpaths and up into the rocks, a walk from the campsite was about 20 kilometers. How glad I was that we left in the spring. The summer sun would probably destroy me more than is healthy. The rescue was a restaurant with excellent refreshments, home cooking and draft beer gave us more energy.
All the fatigue was compensated by a wonderful view of the natural phenomena of the Prachov Rocks. Perfect beauty in its purity. You can choose a challenging or less demanding route, depending on how you feel or if you have your children with you.
Within the reach of the camp is also a pleasant walk called Cipisek circuit. Sofa to relieve stress.
Bike on stage
The next days already belonged to the bike paths. Our goal? This time the choice fell on Trosky Castle. Literally amazing scenery stretched in front of us. Weather for one, kind "bike-colleagues" and especially the desire to cover as many kilometers as possible (in good health). In the finish line (well, actually on the hill like thunder) I was already gasping for breath. The well-deserved snack under the walls of the ruins tasted delicious. Since we reserved only a few days for the holiday, we tried to see as much as possible from the surroundings. It is worth mentioning, for example, a visit to Humprecht Castle or Kost Castle. Of course, we could not miss Rumcajs' town of Jičín. From here there is a great trip to the Veliš lookout tower. You will definitely reach the bottom when climbing, sweat will run down your back, but the view…. I recommend.
Every fun ends once
On the way back home, we were rewarded with lunch in the famous Dětenice. We voluntarily "scolded" the local staff, but the experience was first class and the cuisine excellent. If you are weaker in nature, you better look for another restaurant. If you are going to discover Czech treasures, stop in the Bohemian Paradise. You will not regret it as we do.
