People often ask me about the things I'm carrying ... So it occurred to me that I could describe the experience, maybe it would be useful to someone. :) I first chose the Raz Pro smart rear light, which I have from Led-expert.cz
ONCE FOR
Even when these lights appeared on the market, I went through the videos and looked at them. Color changes, brake light functions and other "cows", that's exactly what works for me. I'm a toy and I like this. So when the opportunity arose to test this light, I didn't hesitate for a second… The light is nicely processed. Everything is smooth and fits beautifully. He simply looks good on the bike. In the package you will find everything that will suit you for trouble-free lighting: magnetic charging cable, seatpost holder and 4 rubber bands (2 sizes of 2 pieces). More about light Once PRO here
Function
- Flashing - there are 8 types of flashing. From classics, through pulse to SOS. Simply, everyone can choose.
- Choice of colors - you can choose from 10 colors, so you can tune to the color of the bike / jersey. The road of course includes the red…
- Profile - great thing, you can separately save settings for road, MTB, helmet and headlight.
- Team - another "cow". If this light has more of you in the package, you can harmonize them and then they behave the same way
- Intensity - easily adjusts the light intensity
- Sleep - sets the delay for how long after stopping the light goes to sleep.
- Important note: the brake, shocks and other tweaks only work if the light is attached to the wheel with the switch facing up! I didn't know it and for a long time I thought I had it broken… So watch out for it.
Practical experiences
COLORS
So, of course, the first thing was that I went on a fairy tale along the trails and played with color switching all the way. This in itself attracted quite a lot of attention, especially for children, when their parents pointed out that the bike was changing colors.… In the end, I ended up riding turquoise and red. I give a clear red on the road so that I don't have a driver. Red fits my road, so I leave it there. Well, on an off-road MTB, I put turquoise because it just goes well with Bianchi.
The crucial thing - since the light can also be white, it has the function of a headlight, there is also an extra profile in Settings.
WE BRAKE
The function of the brake is a chapter in itself. Using a gyroscope, the light knows that the wheel is slowing down. So the red light turns on when it flashes (even if you have a different color set, it switches to red). This happens even if the speed decreases significantly by stopping to pedal, so there is no need to press the brake to activate the brake function.
During one of the first rides, I drove like this to a crossroads. A car behind me. They overtook me behind the crossroads and then stopped at our house. When I arrived, the driver said, "What it was like at that intersection with that light." When I slow down, it lights up so they know behind me that I'm braking. "He was shocked." Are you making fun of me? Like a bike? ”Then we discussed it for a while, he really liked it. And it's just handy. Everesting, the brake is priceless. We tried Everesting with two partners (for those who don't know, on one hill to drive the height of Everest 8848 m by driving only up and down). We started at midnight, so with the lights. During the conventions, the boys were enthusiastic about this function. It was dark. We drove down 50 - 60 km / h. So when the turn came and I braked in front of it, the boys behind me knew they had too. This is priceless for a night ride in a group.
INTENSITY
Well, we can start straight away, because on the way up I kept listening to one of them having light burning the retina. I take this on, I just forgot that it is possible to adjust the light intensity… The positive thing is that the light shines a lot, so even if it is not dark yet and it is dark, cars can see you well from a distance. You just can't be a calf like me and reduce that intensity in the dark when you're riding with friends. There are three levels: Low, Medium and High.
SHAKES
Also an interesting feature. Again, thanks to the gyroscope, the light is able to recognize that you have flown through a hole. So when you drive at the top of the bale, you overlook the hole and sweep it, at least it alerts the co-driver behind you. It works the same as the brake, the light comes on, this time white. Recommend MTB turn it off, or as you enter the forest, you will be a white firefly ...
PACKAGE
I haven't tried this, because I don't have anyone else around yet who has the light too. But he can talk to each other and flash the same. It's a "cow" but it looks good.
PROFILES
Simple. Four profiles. On the road, MTB, helmet and for use as a headlight. You save the settings and switch. You don't have to rework item by item every time. Practical.
SLEEP
No need to explain either. Delay time before the light goes out when you stop. I have this in the headlight. It is hot when the wheel is standing and goes out. As I come and move with him, the front and rear lights come on. Nonsense, but I love it. The delay can be set from 30s to 10 minutes.
ENERGY
So far, I have not run out of flashlight while driving. Everesting ran light for 5 hours and without problems (at maximum intensity, as we already know). As I mentioned in the introduction, the charging cable is magnetic. This is a practical thing, when you crush the light while charging, you don't throw anything, just the magnet breaks off. The only weakness of this system is that sometimes I have to hit the connector a bit to start charging the light. It upset me at first, but I've already found the right griffin and it's fine.
OVERALL EVALUATION
The light is very nice, it works great. It performs its function in all respects and has good battery life. Smart features are absolutely great. Plus there are the mentioned "cows" in addition. Great satisfaction for me.
+ appearance and processing
+ light intensity and adjustable options
+ brake function
+ shock signaling function
+ battery life
+ "Cows" - colors, unification when driving in a package
+ profiles on the road and MTB
+ settings in the application
- need to find a griffin to attach the charging cable (but it can also be because I have my left hand)
