From this winter, skiing in the Ore Mountains will take on a new dimension. A brand new ski resort is to open to the public at the end of the year. It is called Plešivec Ski Resort and its center can be found on the eponymous peak near the village of Abertamy. It is really being built on a "green field" and also the equipment and cable cars are brand new thanks to subsidies from the EU. After completion, you will find a total of 4 four-seater, 2 anchor, 4 moving carpet for the youngest skiers. In total, there will be ski slopes and lifts with a capacity of 10.000 people per hour. It seems at that time that a nearby competitor is growing in the nearby area of Klínovec. After all, with its 13 km of planned slopes, it will almost match it, in addition, the peak of Plešivec is also relatively high (1028 m above sea level) and there are several smaller ski resorts in the vicinity - Abertamy, Potůčky, Pernink. Not a large number of groomed people in the area cross-country skiing. The only disadvantage may seem to be the south-western direction of the slopes, but the operators have solved it perfectly with artificial snow. Let's be surprised! So all you have to do is buy new skis or a snowboard, wait until it snows and go to the West!
