On wheels to water in Ejpovice - mountain bike VS retro bike

Weekend ahead of us and decide what to do. For a long time we have been looking for a trip to the Ejpovice dam, which is approx. 33-a-year-old daughter hasn't gone that far and my wife isn't. This gave me the perfect opportunity to take the E-bike Greaser. But this time I decided not to use the E-engine for the first time ...

Weather came out. Today, the 25 stages were supposed to be ideal for cycling of all kinds. Unfortunately, I didn't see the elevation before the start so that we could all prepare for it mentally.

The first stretch was fine. So we stopped by the river Berounka and enjoyed the animals, which are happy to be fed there.

There were hills behind Berounka. I fiddled with the idea of ​​turning on the E-assistant for a while, but then I quickly dropped it. It wouldn't be fair to girls. The daughter would get mad and the woman wouldn't give me dinner .. . So I started pulling the 28 kilometer bike alone.

After passing another section in the style of the downhill slope we had to stop again. The view was worth it ...

If you do not stop at such a place and enjoy the view and gentle breeze, then you are not ours.

After all serpentines - climb - descent we reached the Ejpovice reservoir. First stop: pub.

The daughter suddenly unpacked a bag from her backpack that looked like a home made rod. She began to explain how she did it and how it would work. When I asked about the Alberta bag, the guests around here laughed. But I have to admit she had it thoughtful. There were holes in the plastic bag to drain the water. Catching fish catches the fish and the excess water runs away. Creativity can't deny her.

Unfortunately, the fish did not take it. We figured it would be because he had too short a lanyard. However, improvisation continued. She tried to lure them to biscuits.

Ejpovice was nice. ;)

Even if the girls were driving for the first time on the wheels, and they seemed to be fine, we made our way home to Bolevak on Kofola. I surprisingly managed to do that too. I thought I was treading my own strength on a retro fablethat weighs 28 kg will be a big chore. But fortunately geometry is such a compromise that it went. At least I'll know what to expect on a longer trip when I run out of flashlight ...

The trip went well. Daughter and even a woman surprised me. The first longer trip and now with such an elevation and managed it fine. And what about Retro Fable without using a flashlight? I would say it this way. It was good, I trained and found that the wheel geometry also allows pedaling over longer distances without hurting what might come in handy if I get juice somewhere in the middle of the wasteland. Next time together, everyone on MTB :). I'll keep Greaser on a different type of trip.
