Another of the series of articles in the interview section, we have prepared for you directly with the operator of the leading tourist portal and the catalog of accommodation Kempy-chaty.cz in the category of camps, chalets and guesthouses with Mr. Mark Mišutka. Today we will be interested in the evaluation of this season 2015 as well as the operator's overview of trends in the category of holiday accommodation.
How do you rate the 2015 summer season?
This season has undoubtedly succeeded, because at the turn of the 2014 / 2015 years we have expanded our accommodation capacities beyond campgrounds and recreation centers as well as cottages, cottages, guest houses and apartments. Visitors to our site are continually using this extended offer. We are pleased to be able to provide more accommodation on one portal to make it easier for guests to decide where to go.
Do you mean to say that guests prefer to stay in a cottage rather than in a camp?
Definitely not. We have also been able to attract other groups of visitors who enjoy more privacy on their holiday, and they are ideally suited for cottages, cottages or boarding houses. On the other hand, we constantly update the offer of camps and recreation centers, and at the same time urge operators to update their registrations, which actively and jointly contribute to the development of tourism in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
What is your opinion about accommodation abroad versus accommodation in the Czech Republic?
Surely none of us have missed what is happening in the world or in Europe. This is also the case where people choose to vacation. Of course, this situation is recorded in the cards by holiday accommodation operators in the Czech Republic or Slovakia. Guests want to relax on their vacation, enjoy the nature, the sun ... I see positive in it. As more visitors in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will undoubtedly increase their turnover to domestic operators. For more money, they are better able to improve their facilities and services, which will increase the quality of the holiday accommodation in our country.
We have noticed that the offer of various discounts and Last Minutes is somewhat modest on your portal. Do not you feel like you're a little behind the various discount portals?
At the Kemppy-chaty.cz portal we are trying to bring quality accommodation. For "Last Minute and Discounts" we have a dedicated section but publishing our trailers is only allowed by our partners and clients. This will ensure that only validated devices will be displayed in the menu, which can guarantee in certain ways that the guest will get exactly what he expects. It is true that even the owners of chat rooms or guest houses with which we have no relationships have many times expressed our desire to publish in the given section, but since we are not a discount portal, we can not afford everyone to publish their discounts with us if we do not have the accommodation in any way verified. Discount portals offer accommodation that often does not meet the required quality. On the other hand, we are also aware of the attitude of the operators who are forced to go with the price so low that they have practically nothing from the disbursed finances for the discount granted. In a sense, even accommodation can be said free of charge (but unfortunately from the operators). However, guests do not like this and there are various frustrations both on the part of the operators and on the side of the guests. We do not want to go this way.
In the past year, your portal has undergone many changes. Are you going to get more news?
Definitely yes. We are currently working on expanding our "Search accommodation" filter, where it is necessary to add recreational areas. This year we want to expand our user profiles and add accommodation capacities from the category of camps, apartments, guest houses from Europe. We are also actively working and supporting "accommodation reviews" along with our partners. On another front, we are also communicating about further cooperation that will actively contribute to the development of the tourist and accommodation. The situation here is more complicated, precisely because the agencies that would like us something extra are not able to accept the fact that we are not subsidized neither by the state nor by the EU as opposed to them, that we can not do the work for which they paid " ". Unfortunately, tourists are indirectly paid for, but we are not doing anything at the moment. The situation in the Czech Republic is such that private sectors do more to support tourism in the Czech Republic than state agencies that pull subsidies from the EU. But I firmly believe that the situation will develop in the future in a positive direction.
Thank you for the interview and I wish you a lot of success with your project.
