In the footsteps of the Prussian artillery

The circuit is led halfway along marked cycling routes, partly along the tourist yellow route and finally along the unmarked route. The route is intended for beginner cyclists and families with children. In addition to climbing the Javornický ridge, children around the age of 10 should also be able to handle the route. In the beginning, due to the safety of children, the route is led around the Rosnička pond, behind which it crosses the 35st class road No. XNUMX. Here it is necessary to be extra careful.

Svitavy - Javornický ridge - Brlenka - Javornický ridge - Svitavy

After crossing the road, the route continues to the Javornický ridge, where at the crossroads to the village of Čistá, turn left to the settlement of Brlenka and return to the original cycle route on the Javornický ridge after a short circuit. Just below the hill to the Javornický ridge, the route turns right into the forest on an unmarked route - a forest path. After a few hundred meters, the railway line to Polička crosses at an unprotected crossing. However, the track is not busy, trains in forest sections always signal the passage audibly. Nevertheless, it is necessary to be extra careful in this section and not to let smaller children forward. Furthermore, the route continues straight after the crossing and crosses road no. 34 to Polička behind the forest on an asphalt road. It continues around the sand quarry along a dirt road for about 300 meters, where the dirt road turns into a gentle hill around the gardens towards the city. It flows into the city at the Infant Institute. The surface of the route is mostly asphalt (cycle routes). Stony and forest and clay field paths are on the tourist yellow and unmarked parts. Apart from climbing the Javornický ridge, which we recommend to complete alongside the bike, especially with children, the route is not physically or technically demanding. When exiting the ridge, it is good to leave one track free for passing cyclists. The route is also not frequented at all. Vehicles are not allowed on most of this circuit on the Javornický ridge. Exceptions are vehicles with entry permits.
