Vimperk - the city where it lives

This year is full of cultural events, because the city has been celebrating 750 years since its founding. The city's cultural center and other Vimperk organizations prepare interesting programs every week. The celebrations started on 15.6 June, continue on 3.8. Battle of Wintemberk and ends 25.8. city ​​castle festival. Meanwhile, there are, for example, a meeting of wood carpenters at the chateau, a celebration of the 120s of the Pošumava local, Vimperský Kašpárek with fairy tales for children, theater performances for adults at the chateau and the city's cultural center, a Roma day full of dancing and singing at the chateau arcades, a musical summer full of concerts including Blue Effect and many more.

Recreational and sports complex Vodník, where you will find the Vodník Excursion Restaurant, a car camp, cottages, an in-line track, a children's playground and more, he regularly participates in these cultural events. There is a free summer cinema in the complex every holiday Saturday. We also regularly organize events for children. We have prepared, in cooperation with other organizations, Children's Day, Welcoming the Solstice - a celebration of the Celtic holiday Litha, free toasting for children, a tent tournament, a dragon race, and in the winter various cross-country competitions take place in the complex, including searching for new talent - We are looking for a new Kateřina Neumannová. Not only the city, but also its immediate surroundings are full of beautiful places for both natural and cultural monuments. Last year, we recently renovated both the camp facilities and the wooden cottages.

The three-room cottages are comfortably equipped with new wooden furniture, kitchen and have their own toilet. The camp has a newly renovated restaurant with a tradition of more than 100 and was part of the city swimming pool. Of course there are fish specialties, grilled meat and special seasonal offers.
