Where to go - trip around the dam Hracholusky

Another hot weekend ahead of us and we are thinking about where to ride a bike. There was a proposal for a route around the Hracholusky dam, where we can take a bath along the way. That sounded good, so I agree. I will pack my cycling equipment and especially food. Specifically: a banana, a protein bar from Lidl and one Brumík. I know what you think, why on earth am I packing a protein bar when I have Brumík? Well, yeah, I was hungry last weekend, so I didn't want to leave anything to chance. The route we passed around Hracholusky was in the finals a good gravel, 73 km - climbed 1305 meters (mostly in the woods), which was my top performance this year. But what you wouldn't do for your lost fitness, would you .. :)

Everything to the Castle, or how we carry bikes

The first stop was near the ruins of Buben Castlewhere we met other cyclists. The drum is located somewhere in the middle between Pilsen and Hracholusky. Here we had to work hard for the first time and sometimes even push. Our standard 29x2,25 bikes are not equipped for boaring on steep hills in the middle of the forest. The Bubno was nice ..;) I definitely recommend to visit this site ..

Luke walked around. My attempt ended right at the beginning, because I didn't like the narrow wall.. So at least I photographed a cyclist taking pictures of a cyclist ..

One cyclist in the castle was a local fachman who knows. Well, at least we didn't go down without explaining ourselves first. After a rest, we went in the direction of lunch - Hracholusky. However, Mr. "Fachman" headed straight for the river Mže, that it is said that it is passable there. On the way we got along with a group of 3 members who knew him, so we call ourselves "no problem". From the beginning, it seemed, let's say, very uncomfortable for riding a fable. Well, it ended like this ...

So Lukáš and I helped cyclists carry their bikes. After 500 meters I say: "I expected that today the bike will wear me and not me his" 

Lukáš helped this lady. I wondered why he looked like a cacabus on a hill . The lady had full bags, so he had to wear a kilometer over 20 .. So if he is not a Gentleman, then no one .. . And it is said that the Gentlemen died out, although I already know why. Because wearing a 20 kilometer over a kilometer, it's about to die ...

Lunch at Hracholusky & swimming

After weary wheels we finally mount. A few kilometers at a fast pace and arrive at Hracholusky near Transkemp. Finally food. I had a pork chop. I haven't had that good in a long time .. . I'll be back here ..

After the meal we go on. We did not want to swim directly at the restaurant. We drove a few kilometers, then swimsuit and go into the water. Lukáš posed to me in the distance ...

How Luke lost his soul

After swimming we continue. On the way, I drove here and there over small hills. Lukáš immediately commented: "Well, you see, and you have already climbed the meters". However, the right meters were yet to come. This is after crossing the newly built footbridge in front of the village of Butov.

I cycled the footbridge. At the opposite end, I notice the sign "cyclist get off". Njn, I felt safer when I rode it on my bike than if I had to push it, because I don't need much heights ...

I love this terrain. Especially when we staggered for just a few kilometers and then just a steep climb with roots that looked like a small Chinese wall.

However, the view of Mže was worth .. :)

Then there was a turn and on the next footbridge about 10 km before Silver we turn it on the way back. At that moment we knew we would give it, but it was incredibly hot and stuffy, and neither of us was well equipped ... :). Oh yeah, I ate a long time ago.

We locked ourselves properly after the footbridge. We practically walked 10 km just uphill. On one "slope" I say to Lukáš: "I can already feel the muscles in my thighs growing !!" and Luke said, "I feel like I have to pee again !!". So we exchanged information and go on until we're completely bake. About 25 km before Pilsen we build in a local guest house and have Birell ..

After refreshing we go on. We only had a minimal climb and a descent, so we are racing. In that Luke the soul farts. Luckily he had gluing with him.

I smoke Iqos and Luke sticks the soul. We can see that we are a well-coordinated team. Here I operated only as moral support ... . This will surely be written into the annals of cycling trips in the Pilsen region ..

So, when we stuck his leaky soul together, we get on and go on. Nothing unexpected has happened in the last few kilometers. Obviously I had a lot of energy left, and on that dirt road I began to overtake a young man on Gravel's fable. And when overtaking, he greeted us again, the insane one ..   So I step into it and I keep pace with it for another kilometer, but my tires with a width of 2,25 didn't catch much on Gravel, so I had to release it .. :)) Never mind, at least I put a "time trial" at the end and finally it turned out well, because we still have some time left ..

Anyway, today we drove a nice 73 km with a climb over 1300 meters. We drive for fun, but we both knew that we were not well equipped for the longer journey (food). And 30 degrees didn't add us either. But we enjoyed the trip, because it was not a race, but a cycling for fun ..
