Description

The caravan is situated Deer 2 km from the mountains of deer Tribeč between the cities of District Nitra (15 km) and Golden Moravec (15 km).

     Chat Room - ATC Jelenec has 20 chalet, 4 to 7-bed. The accommodation capacity is 112 Beds. The cottages are equipped with drinking water and toilet. A social building with toilet and showers is available to guests. There is a lounge area where you can watch TV programs and satellite.

     In addition to cabin accommodation, the campsite offers the possibility of camping and camping. Capacity is 57 places for caravans and tents. Guests have the possibility to connect the caravan to the el. energy. The camping site is grassy with an asphalt road.

     There are two lakes in the autocamping, where visitors have the right conditions for water sports with the possibility to rent water bicycles. Fishing enthusiasts will also come to theirs.

     Camping is ideally located for those who are interested in hiking. They can take on unpretentious hiking tours such as the Gýmeš Castle, which is the chestnut tree, the oldest in Central Europe. We warmly welcome everyone who wants to know our beautiful nature, culture and history.

Camp is open from 15.5 to 30.9.

Deer

The village lies in the northern part of the Zittau hills at the foot hills of the valley Tribečských Jelenského stream. Its center is located at an altitude of around 192 meters, between the land and 170 500 meters. Underlying rocks are granite, quartzite, limestone, Tertiary clays and sands. The southern part of the land is deforested and used for agriculture, the North is mostly covered with deciduous forests (oak, beech, hornbeam, elm). The land also lies one of the oldest edible chestnut forests in Central Europe, now a protected area.
The first written mention comes from the inventory of 1113 zoborského Benedictine Abbey, which is referred to as Gimes, later appeared under the names Gumes (1226) Guymes (1232) Gymus (1253), Inferior, Superior Ghymes (1295) Noggymus (1350 ) Gyemes (1356) Gymes and Maior et Minor Kysgymes, Felgymes (1386) Gymeš (1920) Jelenec (1948).
In 1226 it gave Andrew II. Hungarian House of Ivanka Hunt-Poznanových. His son Andrew became the founder of the family Forgách, who lived here until 1919. Andrew also had to stand on a hill above the village castle, first featured in 1262. He was for many centuries the seat of the family and the center of the estate Jelenec. In 1576 and 1663 village and castle destroyed by the Turks, in turn 1618 Betlenovy troops during anti-Habsburg uprising.
Community acquired in 1350 market rights. In 1610 a revolt of his subjects. In 1715 village had vineyards in mid 18. century is documented five kilns. In 1833 built here Karol Forgách sugar. In Czechoslovakia the municipality retained predominantly agricultural character. Residents suffering from unemployment associated with emigration. 20 late thirties. century, the railroad built the Golden Moravec - Lužianky, which represented a significant work for the local option. In 1939 to 1958 was operational sawmill and factory floor. On 1. October 1948 village was officially renamed from Gýmeš to Jelenec. To promote tourism in 1966 was built Remitáž campsite.
