Surroundings of Třeboňsk
The landscape of South Bohemia and Třeboň is famous for its many ponds and picturesque villages. The most famous historical towns include Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec, České Budějovice and Český Krumlov. The villages are characterized by South Bohemian architecture in the style of peasant baroque - beautifully decorated gables of peasant buildings can be found in almost every village.
There are also many castles and chateaux that are worth visiting. In the vicinity of Staňkovo there are also various natural attractions - Moose mud near Mirochova (Natural monument) or Pelé peat bog.
Staňkov and the whole of Třeboňsko is only a short distance from the border with Austria. You can visit the Austrian towns of Litschau, Schlag or Gmünd. Cycling routes also lead here, thanks to which you can ride all the way to Czech Canada.
The villages are characterized by their South Bohemian architecture in the style of "peasant baroque" - you can find beautifully decorated gables of farm buildings in almost every village. Among the most beautiful are Holašovice, which is on the UNESCO list.
Come skiing, you will find 60 ski resorts within 3 km of our guest houses, two of them are in Austria a few km from the border.
If the weather allows snow, you can also take advantage of other winter fun and sports - e.g. cross-country skiing along cycling routes.

Around Staňkov
- Staňkov village is located in South Bohemia, in the Třeboň region. The main landmark of Staňkov is the pond of the same name - Staňkovský.
- Chlum near Třeboň can be found less than 4 km from the guesthouse U Zlaté rybky. Staňkov is a similar recreation area to Chlum u Třeboně. In Staňková, however, you will find more peace and quiet by the pond, and you will still have Chlum close by.
There are other interesting towns and villages in the vicinity that you can visit by bike and make a sightseeing trip. Among them are Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec, Nová Bystřice.

Guard over Nežárka
it is located north about 15 km from our accommodation. An interesting feature is the castle, which once belonged to the famous opera singer Emma Destinová. The castle is open to the public at certain times of the year. In the castle, you can see the most comprehensive and extensive museum exhibition, which is a walk through the entire life and work of this famous singer. The castle also hosts various cultural events and concerts throughout the year.

Natural attractions in the vicinity of Staňkovo
Moose mud near Mirochova (Natural monument)
- It is located southeast of Mirochov. On a vast area of 285,4 hectares, there is a typical forest peatland of the Třeboň region. The name comes from the presence of moose that settled here during their migration from Poland to the south. The natural stands of Scots pine and spruce are dying here, as well as to a lesser extent the sedges.
Pelé bog
- It is located near Staňkov and Chlum u Třeboň. The territory was declared in 1994 on an area of 11,3 hectares. It is a flooded floodplain at the confluence of two forest streams. These are meandering, with numerous small pools. Typical are the reed rattlesnake, the mud devil and the southern bubble. The crayfish, the dark-spotted dragonfly and the silvery waterspout also live here.
Events and activities for children in Třebon
Exhibition of Watermen from Třeboň - in the cellars of the castle. It is accessible from the castle garden, and you can buy a joint entrance ticket for the Heraldic Beast exhibition, which is located nearby.
Exhibition Třeboň in marzipan - on the main square you will find the newly opened exhibition of Třeboň, created from marzipan figures. Inside you will also find a workshop where you can try to model marzipan or a cafeteria.
Armorial beast exhibition - you can see a dragon, Pegasus, unicorns and other fabulous characters. You can find it in the cellars of the castle.

Practical information
In the upper narrowed part of the pond, fishing is prohibited for reasons of protection of the ecologically valuable locality.
In order to allow undisturbed natural spawning of fish, all fishing is prohibited in the shallow NW bay of the pond.
Fishing is prohibited to the public from the dividing dam between the Staňkovský pond and the Špačkov fish breeding pond.
Fishing in the Oasa motorhome only for accommodation guests.
Hejtman Pond - Chlum u Třeboně
Season: 1. 4. – 31. 12.
Practical information
It is completely prohibited to fish from the body of the dam of the pond, in the area of the recreation facility Lesák and also from the lands adjacent to the estates in the village of Staňkov no. 28 and no. 32 between the tributary from the Vydymač pond and the western end of the garden fence.
Fishing in the territory of other recreational facilities on the pond is only possible if the conditions set by the individual operators are observed and after prior agreement with them.
