A trip to the Venetian Tredue campsite - camping with a pool by the sea

Another Italian campsite we visited on our trip through beautiful Italy was a campsite called Camping Tredue. It was a seaside camp near the wonderful town of Chioggia. Chioggia is an Italian city located in the province of Veneto. Currently, Chioggia has around 50 inhabitants and its city coat of arms is a red lion on a white field.

Accommodation by the splashing sea

We stayed at the campsite for one night. We wanted to swim in the Adriatic Sea and see the city of Chioggia, which has the label "Little Venice". The address of the campsite is Via Sebastiano Venier 345, Chioggia. In the main tourist season, the camp office is open in the morning from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and in the afternoon from 15 p.m. to 20 p.m. You can stay here from 8:30 a.m. to 22:30 p.m.

First impressions of the camp

The campsite was located by the Adriatic Sea in the neighborhood of other campsites. Almost every Italian campsite has its own beach and, in addition to swimming in the sea, also offers swimming in the pools on the campsite. This was also the case with the Tredue campsite, so this campsite did not disappoint us and we were very satisfied here. If it hadn't been for the strong evening wind, we would have been very happy here, but nobody can blame the weather.

A campsite with a pleasant southern atmosphere

The campsite was quite large, but when we arrived, it was almost completely occupied, because the end of the first week in July is understandably in demand by all local and European tourists.

Description camp

According to the official website of the camp, we learned that the camp offers a private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, a relaxation area with a solarium, a snack bar, spacious and well-shaded plots with electricity and water, maxi caravans equipped with all comforts, a large swimming pool for children and adults , large children's playground, wi-fi internet connection; bicycle rental, washing machine and dryer. The description on the website really corresponded to reality.

Snacks and meals

Camp Tredue has a bar with refreshments. However, there are countless restaurants and pizzerias around the campsite, so going out for a meal or a snack is no problem. According to the internet, there are a total of 26 of them around the campsite. It probably won't surprise you if I say that I recommend the local pizzerias here the most, it's quite enough if you go to a pizzeria, where they put a great Italian pizza in your hands or a bag and you can bring a warm pizza to camping.

Overall impressions of the camp

We were located not far from the main reception and right next to the sanitary facilities. We could have a car parked next to us, which is always great. The location of the campsite was really great, only the historic center of the city was quite far, about four and a half kilometers.

Tips for trips around the camp

The main tip for the trip was, of course, a visit to the local town of Chioggia, where you will feel like you are in Venice. And what can you look forward to here? In addition to the typical Italian comfort, tourists can admire the wonderful church monuments here. One of the oldest preserved churches in the city is the Catholic Church of Santa Maria, which was built in the eleventh century. You can find the old temple in the immediate vicinity of the magical city gates.

If you like sacred buildings built on smaller islands, the Church of St. Dominic is a dream ideal. And the third tip for a tour is the charming church of Sant'Andrea, which dates back to the eighteenth century. Next to this church stands the famous Torre dell´Orologio, which is "only" a whole millennium older. The name of the tower certainly didn't fall far from the tree, because on the tower you will find one of the oldest tower clocks in the world, and such a tower is definitely worth a photo.

The city of Chioggia will certainly captivate you, as it offers, like Venice, a lot of water channels, each of which is crossed by several romantic bridges. Also, a romantic ride on the local boats is definitely not to be thrown away. When you see the city from above, it reminds you of a fish fin. And quite rightly so, because the local fishing industry is really well-known and famous throughout Italy.
