When we go camping, we sometimes take bicycles with us in the car. We have a carrier for towing equipment and a new roof carrier available. In this article, we will introduce you to a bicycle carrier for a towing device. It will be a carrier for 2 bicycles from Buzz Rack, specifically the Spark 2 model.

First, a few words about the company Buzz Rack, which is quite well-known in the Czech Republic. When you enter a bicycle rack on Google, products from this proven company immediately jump out at you. The company was founded in 2005 and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of bicycle racks for towing equipment. The company has its factory in Taiwan.
The towing bike carrier called Buzz Rack Spark 2 is for 2 bicycles. We have used the carrier many times on our travels and it has always worked for us. It is therefore a reliable and safe carrier for towing equipment, which is also not too expensive. We bought it years ago for 6000 crowns, now it costs around 7500 crowns. So the price is in such a reasonable middle, you can of course buy a cheaper carrier, but Thule carriers, for example, range from CZK 10 and up.
In addition, the product Spark, which means Spark in Czech, has a nice design that we like. It is color coordinated in black, gray and lime green. The lime green color in particular has a fresh and pleasant effect on the eye. Small straps and safety handles are made in this color.
So the Buzz Rack Spark 2 bike carrier has proven itself to us and is a good choice for transporting two bicycles. The carrier with bicycles is well-balanced and, when folded down, allows sufficiently wide access to the trunk of the car. The carrier can be attached to any towing device in five to ten minutes without the use of tools, which is great. The total load capacity of the product is 30 kilograms. The carrier also meets the certification according to Czech standards 8 SD 3666.
How do you attach the carrier to the towing device of your car?
A lock is inserted into the fastening mechanism, which securely locks the carrier to the towing device. The carrier can be fixed even without the assistance of another person. The bicycles are attached to the carrier by means of rubberized grips and straps, which are lime green in color. It firmly secures the wheel straps and prevents them from being damaged or loosened. Bicycles can also be locked to the carrier, so no one will steal your bike at the gas station or in the parking lot during transport. We were always lucky, so no one ever took our bikes on the carrier.
It is very important that the carrier has a folding function. If you need to get into the trunk of your car, the entire carrier, including the fixed bicycles, can be folded down slightly, so that you can free up space for the trunk. You can fold it by pressing the easily visible pedal. You can of course fold the carrier even if there are no bicycles on the carrier. Furthermore, the carrier is equipped with a light ramp for placing the state license plate. The light ramp is simply plugged into a socket using a thirteen-pin connector.
If you dismantle the carrier from the towing device, you can fold it into acceptable dimensions of 94 x 67 x 31 centimeters.
