Jeseníky
The Jeseníky Mountains are the highest mountains in Moravia and Silesia, and they extend to the northernmost tip of Moravia. The 1350 m, which dominates in the east Praděd (1492 m) and in the west Králický Sněžník (1424 m), consists of a massif of Kralický Sněžník, Rychlebské hory, Hrubý Jeseník, Nízký Jeseník and their foothills. Soil and climatic conditions in the top parts of the Jeseníky Mountains were not suitable for agricultural production, so even there were no permanent settlements on the slopes. However, they provide optimal conditions for hiking, biking and winter sports.
Ostružná
located on the railway line Hanušovice - Jeseník at the altitude of 700 - 950 m was founded in the middle of 16. of the table. The name of the village originated in 19. century misinterpretation of the dialectic Spornhau - Sporn in the meaning of spurs - Ostružná. In the village there is a Baroque church of St. Three Kings from the end of 18. There is a bus stop, a train station, a fire brigade and a municipal office that houses the village of Ostružná with the local parts of Ramzová and Petříkov. On the hill in the direction of Branna, the wind power station has six wind farms, according to which you will surely know that you are really in the right place. After the construction of the chairlift from Ramzová to Šerák and the ski lifts in Petříkov and Ostružná, the village became a popular tourist and ski resort not only for visitors from the Czech Republic.
There is a grocery store, ČD station, bus stop, direct connection from Brno, Olomouc, Prague, Pardubice, Hradec Kralove, Pisek, Ostrava. Car park at the object and in winter.
Around one kilometer is a cable car to Šerák, mountain minikars, mountain bike rental, tennis courts, a great selection of cycling and hiking trails, mushroom picking and blueberries. Within twenty kilometers is a swimming pool, two indoor swimming pools, a thermal swimming pool, a cave, bowling, squash, shooting range. In winter, Ostružná is the center of winter sports with the possibility of downhill and cross-country skiing, ten ski lifts.
