Tips for activities around the cottage
In winter, downhill and cross-country skiing is possible. There are 5 downhill tracks of varying difficulty in the Čenkovice SKI area. It is also possible to visit the Červená Voda SKI area, where there are two more downhill tracks with a modern chair lift.
Cross-country skiing is possible on more than thirty kilometers of groomed tracks.
In the summer, cycling and hiking are available here. We have an outdoor pool 6x3,2m available.
There is a sports complex in the village, where you can practice other sports such as tennis, mini golf, volleyball, netball, football.
In winter, you have the opportunity to enjoy yourself on several slopes of Skipark Bukovka or on kilometers of cross-country tracks. In the summer, the surrounding forests reveal natural beauty, views from lookouts and viewpoints of both the Orlické Mountains and the Jeseníky Mountains, or traces of the concrete fortifications of the Czech border. This is typical for the local region and there are also several military museums.
Summer Activities
Melting snow regularly reveals traces of military history that guard the border with Poland. It is a line of concrete fortifications that was built in the period between the world wars. We recommend a trip to the Bouda artillery fortress and its tour. You will be shaking your head for a long time at how sophisticated and sophisticated the entire defense system was. You will learn very interesting information on the educational trail around Bouda, which passes dozens of bunkers built in the forest below Suchý vrch. Two military museums in Králíky offer other interesting things from military history and a tour of military equipment.
Lookouts are beautiful tourist destinations. There would be around ten of them in the vicinity. Each is different, each is beautiful and each offers different views. The closest one is on Suché vrch, and under ideal conditions you will see Snow White and Grandpa at the same time. Perhaps the most distant views are offered by the lookout tower, which is, paradoxically, on the lowest hill. It is a lookout tower on Mariánské hora near Lanškroun.
Hikers can go to Bukova hora, Suchý vrch or to the source of the Morava river at Králický Sněžník.
Cyclists can use hundreds of kilometers of cycle paths and forest or field roads that will take you to interesting destinations that lie up and down from the cottage. Mountain bike lovers can try the singletrack tracks in Lower Moravia.
You can enjoy water fun in Jablonné, at the nearby Pastviny dam or in the aqua center in Žamberk.
Near the cottage there is a sports center where you can play mini golf, tennis, beach volleyball, netball or football. A little further on, you can enjoy a ride on mountain carts. Filipův pramen is also worth a visit, which is 400m from the cottage. The water from Filip's spring is enriched with radon, which has a therapeutic effect on joint and skin diseases.
Winter Activities
If you use the accommodation at Chata U Zámků in the winter months, it is only a short distance to the slopes. You have the opportunity to use all the options offered by the Červená Voda Ski Park, which uses both sides of Beuká hora for skiing. Visitors can use the covered and heated cable car. If you want something more family-friendly, you will certainly like the more modest lifts that surround Čenkvice.
The Dolní Morava resort offers other opportunities for enjoyment and kilometers of groomed slopes.
Lovers of white tracks can find 100 km of groomed tracks in the vicinity of the cottages, which lead along the ridge of the Bukové hory up to Suchý vrch and then on to the surrounding villages. Other possibilities are offered by tracks under the Jeřáb hill with the starting point in Červená Voda and the destination at Severomoravská cháta. And you can find more kilometers of white tracks in Dolní Moravá, from where you can follow the main road to the Jesenice mountains.
Year-round activities
It is not only in winter that you can use the wellness area in the area. The gourmet menu of Kramář's cottage on Suché vrch, Italian pizzerias or other quality restaurants that you can visit during a trip to Lower Moravia or to the monastery on Mount Matky boží in Hedeč u Králík will satisfy your palate. Right in Čenkovice you can go for a good meal in two restaurants not far from the cottage. Brewers should visit the Černý medvěd brewery in Jablonné nad Orlicí. Once you are in Jablonné, you can play bowling with your friends at the local lane.
Dolní Morava offers many attractions that are in operation all year round or most of the year, such as a bobsleigh track, a rope park, mountain scooters, a climbing wall or Mamutík Park. In the nearby Letohrad, you can visit the crafts museum and learn how and with what people worked in the past.
