When we went on vacation to Cesky Krumlov for the first time, we chose accommodation according to offers on the Internet. In the case of the second visit, we no longer had to look. Because, why change what worked, was good, and where were we satisfied? So in both cases we lived in a beautiful pension Pod Skalkou. The location of the pension is ideal, because it is quite far from the busy city center, which is often crowded during the main tourist season, yet within easy walking distance, because it is half a kilometer from the pedestrian zone.
Visitors can choose between classic en suite rooms and apartments with an equipped kitchenette. Almost all have either direct access to a large, well-kept garden or a private balcony. In the garden there is a heated indoor pool, which can be used not only in the hot summer months. Sitting in the garden can also be made more pleasant by grilling on the gas grill, which can be rented.
If you do not want to prepare breakfast yourself, you can buy it. They are served buffet style in the guest house’s common room, where it is also possible to make coffee or tea at any time of the day. We were on the spot with friends, so we prepared breakfast ourselves. A big advantage is also that it is possible to park in a locked garden area right next to the house.
If I should summarize the evaluation of the accommodation, I must say that we were completely satisfied with both visits. In addition to clean and modern accommodation in a quiet residential area of Cesky Krumlov, it was very pleasant to deal with nice owners of the pension, both via e-mail and in case of personal meetings on site.
