Every good camper will be happy to relax not only on a mattress in a tent after a hard day full of trips and experiences. You will definitely also throw your feet on the table in the hall or in front of the tent and enjoy the comfort of your holiday.
But which table to actually choose to carry the weight of your feet, or lunch or full pints?
That's why we decided to give you a little more detail about camping equipment in the camper's series. In this pilot project we will introduce you camping desks. Many outdoor brands sell them on our small Czech market. Usually, however, there are only a few types in different mutations, which are marked with a different logo in the Asian factory. However, I do not mean that they would not be of good quality - on the contrary, they are usually very successful. I am trying to say that we can find suspicious home-looking models under the brands Husky, Cattara, Pinguin, Coleman, Outwell and many others.
The construction of camping tables is usually aluminum and of course their folding construction is so that you can easily transport them in a car or caravan. One of the best-selling and most popular models is the Coleman mini Camp Table, which attracts attention especially with its compact dimensions. When folded, it looks like a small flat briefcase.
As its name suggests, it is not a type intended for a family. Rather, it suits couples or fishermen who travel by small car and do not need a large area. If you would like a full-fledged higher table for the family, it is more appropriate to choose, for example, one of the Pinguin models (Table XL or Table M model), similar to the Czech Husky brand on offer. These tables can also be folded into a carrying case with a carrying handle. They usually have adjustable leg height and the table top is made of hardboard with laminated foil. All of them also have a sufficient load capacity and can withstand loads of up to 30 kg, which is absolutely sufficient for camping use.
Another successful type of camping tables are ALU tables with upper aluminum slats. These are very light and durable, and although they take a little longer to assemble than the type with a briefcase construction, they look very good in design. The aluminum construction is often combined with black lacquered slats, which can easily withstand a load of 30 kg. These types have an oval shape when packed, approximately like a classic foam mat. Therefore, they are suitable for those who travel by car and want to transport camping equipment in a narrower roof box.
The undeniable advantage of tables with top aluminum slats is that you can place a hot ash or a pot on them, without fear of the surface twisting or damaging you. This could occur with a hardboard or plastic board that is more susceptible to such treatment.
