A weekend ahead of us and lots of excess energy at hand, so what about it? We planned a ride with Lukáš from the cycling group. Last week, I picked me, now he is. I'm curious what awaits me and misses. In addition to that, at the last minute we also added another friend Jirka. The plan was clear. Start in Pilsen around the Ejpovice and Klabava reservoirs with a break in Rokycany. We were supposed to drive around 45 km, which would be my longest route this year. 
. In the end it ended up on the hill Marshal and the castle Radyne. Total 56 km ..

From Pilsen via Rokycany (break at Ejpovice)
At the beginning we were only waiting for dusty roads, which was more than good for me, because two days ago I "ran" to the lookout tower Krkavec (about 6km), so I had it in my legs. In addition, our meeting was at a time when I would normally have lunch, so I was hungry. The first kilometers were warm-up. Jirka - the racer didn't drive it much and Lukáš "roadmaker" went at a slow pace, because in the evening he had other activities waiting for him, such as barbecues ... 
We had a snack at Ejpovic and I had a risotto. Most of the guests at the Ejpovice campsite were cyclists. How else... 
After the refreshment, Lukáš took us to the Ejpovice tunnels. I was there for the first time and I didn't know what was going on. After entering and passing 300 meters, I start a bit of a gripe that when it ends 
. I was told it was over 1500 meters. I probably watched too many movies where bad things happened in such tunnels, so I didn't really want to go there. After making sure there were no rats and trains, I went on.
After 1500, the light is finally on. Enjoy, pee and then back ..

Most of the time, we were driving on dirt roads that suited Luke. Although riding a mountain bike, I have a strong suspicion that he would be more comfortable with such a gravel bike. Jirka competes in mountain bike racing, so she is used to all kinds of terrain. And I like to go on forest trails and hills, although sometimes there is a difference in what I have trained and what I would like to overcome ... Behind the dam Klabava forest trails were waiting for us for the first time. I felt that in my element. There was no pit I wouldn't try to drive. 
It is true that once it did not work and I had to jump, unfortunately, directly to nettle !!! Well, it is healthy ...
From Rokycany through Marshal to Castle Radyne
We have another break in Rokycany. This time Jirka and Luke were hungry. Luke has found it to be an advanced time and he will not be able to make the whole trip and he will have to turn it home. We plan with Jirka what to do next. The proposal to climb uphill towards Marshal fell. Exceed 560 meters, so I'm saying no problem. I'm trained from Raven.
The first part was for warming up. Endless hill across a long field. All right, this is how I can pedal for another 2000 meters. I stopped at the end of the hill. The view was great ..
Then enter the forest. Bigger pitch and all pothole and root. There was a slow pace because I didn't know how far the target was. This output to Hill Marshal (568m) it was just a little challenging. Jirka held the middle pace, so I still kept him in sight. I haven't tried to overtake him anymore, because every time I tried it he passed me back . It was the racing soul that sounded in it.

Jirka began to analyze my bike and my physical condition . Then the question arose as to whether I felt like climbing to Radyně Castle. I say, "Let's try it !!". So far there has been no problem with any hill. It has to come one day .. Although I didn't expect it to be at the exit to Radyně Castle. Let's move on. The endless output gave me a hard time. In addition, it was still escalating. Nothing bikes the rider any more, like an endless hill, where the potholes, roots and stones still grow .. I managed to do so, but there was another (even steeper) climb already on such a steep hill. It had 100 meters. And there was a phase when I was out of power and I had to jump off the fable and push the remaining 50 meters. As soon as I saw that the steepness of the slope was settling, then I would mount my steed again. There was only a few meters left to Radyne Castle. Jirka informed me on the hill that he had also given this output for the first time .. Even though this year he tried it in the winter, it does not count .. :)). I suppose he wanted to soothe me that I did well ..
Rest was needed. We left the climb to the castle tower for another time. Since I didn't step on the hill on the first attempt without getting off the bike, I know I have to get back here. With the ascent to the castle I have pending bills now ...
Home trip and trip impressions
The way home was easy. We either enjoyed the descent down the hill or on the straights. Then he goes to the square, take a kofola and go home. However, I had an "ascent" to Lochotín. I squeezed out the last remnants of my strength, so that I could sleep well.
The trip was interesting for several reasons. I reached the bottom of my strength and "discovered" my boundaries, which by the way are 2x higher than I ever thought. In addition, the trip was attended by 3 boys and each with performance somewhere else. As a beginner biker with a focus on forest routes with obstacles, Lukáš has something to do with an orientation towards dusty roads, but at a faster pace, and Jirka is a racer in his free time, so he focused on our speed ... :)) Good at that it was that 3 people from cycling dating came together and were able to coordinate their pace . We also had something to talk about. Therefore, we will definitely make more and more trips, where dusty roads are mixed with more demanding terrain.
